Is 'Occupy Wall Street' Obama's Real Jobs Program?

It has been obvious from the beginning that the so-called jobs bill is really the Save Obama Bill, its only purpose being to fail and then set President Obama up to run against a “do-nothing Congress.” That bill isn’t about real jobs and never was. Harry Reid actually went nuclear to make sure that the bill would fail, late Thursday. While the president has never managed so much as a lemonade stand in the private sector, he has organized protests as a community organizer. Go what what you know, right? Well, the Daily Caller found that some of the occupiers are getting a paycheck:

One group of about ten Hispanic protesters marched behind a Caucasian individual from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting rent control in Washington, D.C.

Asked why they were there, some Hispanic protesters holding up English protest signs could not articulate what their signs said.

Interviewed in Spanish, the protesters told conflicting stories about how their group was organized. Some said it was organized at their church, and that they were there as volunteers. Others, however, referred to the man from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition — the only Caucasian in the group — as their “boss.”

TheDC asked that organizer whether he was paying the group to attend the protest, and he conceded that some protesters “aren’t” volunteers.

“Some of them are volunteers. Some of them aren’t,” he explained. “I can’t identify them. I’m not going to get into an identification game.”

We know that the unions are getting involved, which means some union members are probably being paid to pitch a tent now. Some of the LA protesters have turned out to be astroturf, too.

Some of the demonstrators were from Occupy L.A., a grassroots group of fewer than 100 people that pitched tents and camped out for a week on City Hall lawns. Those protesters intend to remain another month and may stay until winter, said Cole Gillette, 21, a grocery clerk and college psychology major from Rancho Santa Margarita.

The marchers also included scores of people bused in by various labor unions, which led observer Andrew Breitbart to smell conspiracy.

The conservative blogger was videotaping the march and argued that the union involvement meant the demonstration had been “astroturfed” — that is, manufactured to give the false appearance that it was a public groundswell.
