Why Did Seven House Republicans Vote With the NLRB Today?
As noted earlier, the US House passed a bill that, if it became law, would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board’s actions against Boeing and keep that board from taking similar action against other companies. Eight Democrats crossed party lines to vote in favor of the bill. But seven Republicans went the other way, and voted against it. These Republicans voted with the Big Labor-dominated NLRB, against a company’s right to relocate without government interference. They are:
1) Fitzpatrick – PA
2) Gibson – NY
3) Grimm – NY
4) La Tourette – OH
5) McKinley – WV
6) Meehan –PA
7) Young – AK

They voted with the NLRB, because they really wanted to be voted out by the Tea Party. Drink the Kool-Aid and die.
I can understand NY, PA and OH, which are all big union states, but AK? I didn’t figure a congressman from one of the most red states would vote for this.
Inbreeding clouds one’s judgement.
Alaska? Wow, I wonder who Sarah is going to endorse in the primary.
But she has bragged about her/Todd’s union bonafides in the recent past (Labor Day speech), so I’m not sure she’s the one to spur a primary challenge or challenger. She has greater beef against environmental regulations.
They did the chickensh!* err… I mean political thing. They knew it was going to pass, so they had the political cover to do it. I can be rather certain that they all had the blessings of party leadership. Not saying it’s right…saying it’s politics.
I campaigned for Grimm. Disappointed but it’s understandable. Staten Island and Bay Ridge are blue collar and very union. But I did not see Bob Turner’s name. Did he vote today? NY-9 is not blue collar but it is NYC which is pro-union.
Good for him if he did!
Turner-NY is listed as a Yea.
I can not understand how any American can vote against this bill.
Turner -NY listed as a Yea!
I can not understand how Americans can vote to continue union slavery.
How can you ignore the fact that Michele Bachmann DIDN’T VOTE on HR 2587. Is she channeling her inner Obama?
You’re wrong about Fitzpatrick in PA — I just called his office, and voted against the NLRB.
