Biden: You Know, What We Really Need Is Another Government Stimulus
More government spending is, of course, the last thing we actually need.
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Friday the U.S. economy needed more stimulus to get it moving, putting in a plug for government measures shortly before the White House unveils new proposals to boost job growth.
This is the second big signal we’ve gotten from the Obama administration on what his jobs program, outline, whatever, will look like. Obama’s calls to certain business leaders show that he’s considering tax hikes. Biden’s remarks show that he’s also considering more government spending.
They won’t dismantle the regulatory state, and Bernanke won’t bail them out with an interest rate cut. So being liberals, tax and spend is all they can come up with. Tax. Spend. Repeat. If we were to diagram the plan that Obama seems to be formulating, it would look like this.
1. Regulate massively
2. Tax job creators even more massively
3. Spend even more massively, despite the unpatriotic debt already incurred
4. ???
5. Prosperity and re-election! Also: oceans stop rising, lions lay down with lambs.
Question: If liberals like Biden and Obama really do think that government spending is the cure for what ails us, then are they rooting for hurricane Irene to whip ugly on the east coast this weekend?
Everyone needs to understand, while these people are dumb as boxes of rocks, they’re not *stupid*. They’re very aware that the Republicans in the House aren’t going to pass any of this foolishness. Obama can’t pass a stimulus by Executive Order (thank the Lord!) and he can’t raise taxes on “the Rich” (those who still have money) either. What he’s doing is laying the groundwork for blaming the House and the Republicans for the lousy economy. Everyone on the Right is pointing to the President’s approval numbers, which are abyssmal, but we should all note something else: the numbers for the House are even worse. I expect Obama and his handlers are angling for a “lesser evil” campaign, where they will essentially say that they could have fixed the economy, if only those fascist racist Republicans in the House had agreed to his second stimulus program (“New, Improved, Guaranteed to work!”) and had also let him tax those evil bastards more. It wouldn’t have worked, of course, but anything you don’t try is more or less a certain success or a probable failure, depending on your point of view. So if he’s unpopular still on election day, if he’s less unpopular than Romney or Perry or whoever, he still wins. Stay tuned…
Looks like Obama and company decided to press on the gas while the car was in the ditch. Not only did the car not get out of the ditch, but with the tires spinning it moved down the ditch and went over the falls. And during this Obama is yelling at the Republicans in the back to sit back, shut up, and drink their slurpees because he knows exactly what he is doing.
I read that one definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing but expecting different/better results. I think Obama and his administration must be insane.
Does it amaze anybody else that The Big O can’t find anybody else’s paper to copy off of? He can’t even come up with a NEW bad idea; he has to copy off his own bad idea.
Which is precisly what he did at university. He is just too cool. He was born to entertain celebrities and play golf. He’s cool!
Obama is the Paris Hilton of politics. He has never accomplished one worthwhile thing in his life, though he is too arrogant to admit it, but the media falls all over itself to aggrandize him. Maybe he’ll try Hollywood after he gets fired next year. He is the type of all-dialogue, no-action Liberals who would fit in just fine out there!
He’s just parroting the Obama jobs outline; he might as well said nothing at all.
