The NY Post reports that DSK’s accuser was a hooker, part of a scheme that brought in women from Guinea for this purpose:The Sofitel housekeeper who claims the former IMF boss sexually assaulted her in his room was doing double duty as a prostitute, collecting cash on the side from male guests, The Post has learned.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s accuser wasn’t just a girl working at a hotel — she was a working girl.
The Sofitel housekeeper who claims the former IMF boss sexually assaulted her in his room was doing double duty as a prostitute, collecting cash on the side from male guests, The Post has learned.
“There is information . . . of her getting extraordinary tips, if you know what I mean. And it’s not for bringing extra f–king towels,” a source close to the defense investigation said yesterday.
The woman was allegedly purposely assigned to the Midtown hotel by her union because it knew she would bring in big bucks.
“When you’re a chambermaid at Local 6, when you first get to the US, you start at the motels at JFK [Airport]. You don’t start at the Sofitel,” the source said. “There’s a whole squad of people who saw her as an earner.”
The woman also had “a lot of her expenses — hair braiding, salon expenses — paid for by men not related to her,” the source said.
Allegations that she worked as a hotel hooker may explain why Strauss-Kahn insists their encounter was consensual. His defense attorneys refused yesterday to comment on the damning evidence — or say whether he paid her for sex.
Sources also told The Post Strauss-Kahn’s probers uncovered evidence that she was part of a pyramid scheme that targeted immigrants from her native Guinea.
“We have people who have been victimized, who have claimed she ripped them off. Nice working people from her neighborhood,” a source said.
The stunning new info surfaced yesterday as the accuser was unmasked as a pathological liar and scam artist by prosecutors whose rape case has unraveled.
It’s obvious that the source of the Post’s report is the defense who wants to force the prosecution to drop the matter fast. On the other hand the report is not inconsistent with the report the prosecution filed with the Court about her yesterday.

Another immigrant doing the jobs American women won’t do. What is wrong with our sprouts-fed graduates of Vassar?
What is truly disheartening about this case is the lack of any proper investigation of the complainant and her false allegations PRIOR to the public destruction of DSK’s reputation. Please may we remind ourselves that DSK is a 62 year old man, who has worked hard all his life and has no criminal record. Accusing him is a 32 year old grifter, liar, con-artist and tart – shame on the NYPD and the Manhattan DA’s Office for taking her bait as quickly as they did. The case must be dismissed immediately. DSK is innocent of any criminal act.
I have been saying for years that the SDNY could use some adult supervision: Their prosecutorial tricks, including perp walking prominent defendants and their pre-trial poisoning of the well perverts justice. OTOH, I can see why theymight have been so afraid of DSK absconding that they acted faster than the circumstances now indicate was wise. For those French voters persuaded that this was a set up by DSK’s political opponents, consider that this is a French hotel chain, the maid was from French Guinea and the ring must certainly have been known to hotel management for her to have been given work in such a pricey hotel shortly after arriving here.
My reply contains a serious error. This prosecution is by the District Atty , Cyrus Vance, Jr., not the office of the US Atty for the SDNY. Nevertheless, it appears the well-known SDNY tricks (perp walk, prejudicial pre trial publicity) were used here with the results we see.
The way the story is unfolding, it looks like he’s guilty of engaging a prostitute. It’s not credible that she did this for free.
All politicians should learn the lesson of Bill Clinton: it isn’t the messing around, it’s the denial. If he’d have simply come clean from the beginning, and said that he paid her, this would all be over now.
Or maybe DSK learned a different lesson of Clinton: the French love a scoundrel, and he’ll come out of this in better political condition than before.
Very early on DSK admitted having sexual relations with the maid and he claimed it was consensual.
Although it would be hard to avoid some sort of media frenzy in any event, both Roman Polanski and the French policy regarding extradition for the rush to judgment. If he wasn’t on a plane back to France with no realistic possibility of return, there could have (although not necessarily would have) been a more diligent investigation before arresting M. Strauss-Kahn.
I must admit, given the recent disclosures, I can’t decide whether DSK picked the right victim, or the wrong {sex worker).
That should have read “blame both Roman Polanski and”
What gets me is the mob mentality and how easily it is manipulated. Rapee claims rape, everybody piles on the raper. Raper claims fraud, everybody piles on the rapee. What’s next, rapee and raper claim judge is an oyster, and all of you are going to pile on the judge for being a mollusc??
The day after the accusation of rape, DSK’s attorneys (the best that money and influence can buy) said very publicly they were going to destroy this woman. They just did.
It is true, people quickly form their impression of the case by what is reported about it and how. All the more reason for prosecutors to stop perverting justice by leaking so much stuff pretrial. Had they in this case Cyrus Vance Jr would not now be facing calls that he be removed as District Attorney .
Well, Paul is the walrus.
Glad to see Brafman was being sincere when he said he was not out to ‘salir’ the victim.
So he is suggesting that the union import and run hookers in N York hotels.
Looking forward to a reply/action by the union.
I suspect that it was when the union got dragged into this that the political pressure to make the whole thing just disappear really ramped up.
I find allegations that a NY union (in a city where unions have longstanding ties to organized crime, mind you) would participate in a prostitution ring entirely credible.
But the unions and their co-symbionts in the NY political superstructure can’t have a story like that really breaking big. Ergo, let the French guy go, throw the hooker/maid overboard, and head back into the weeds.
I assume the union is the NYHotel Workers Union. If so, this editorial on their website about the exploitation of maids in luxury hotels is particularly rich in irony.http://www.nyhtc.org/secured.php?page=related_news&story_number=100405
He claimed it was consensual, he did not claim it was contractual.
So he bought a hooker, there was a meeting of the bodies, but not a meeting of the minds on the terms and conditions of the contract?
Did he insist upon a freebie because he was an “important man”?
Who would she complain to about that?
There is so much on both sides that is sleazy and lacks credulity. But, presuming to “know” who is the “truth teller” here presumes too much.
They both have much to hide. They both have been caught in the same web.
The most logical theory would assume neither of them suffered a pang of conscience, but rather, this dispute is about the terms of their…oral contract.
You might want to read the Post article before commenting. In it it says she contacted the guy in prison and told him she knew what she was doing–the guy had a lot of money. Now if Cyrus Vance Jr doesn’t investigate the apparent pimp outfit posing as a hotel union in NYC he ought to be kicked out of office pronto.
I read the article, Clarice.
DSK said it was “consensual”. At best, it was contractual.
At worst, (for him) he took it to a level that she did not wish to allow. Can you rape a hooker? If she agrees to x, but not to y …and you force yourself on her to get Y, have you committed a crime?
Will anyone care? Will anyone believe you?
He is a powerful, important married man. He engaged in some sort of sexual act. That is a given, not in dispute.
The only thing in dispute is whether it was ALL consensual, even if it might have originated as contractual.
They had a meeting of the bodies, that is not in dispute. Did they have a meeting of the minds?
Telling one’s imprisoned boyfriend not to worry, he has a lot of money…doesn’t tell us what some people suggest it does. “we will get justice, even if the police drop the case…because he has a lot of money…is different from “I’m going to set him up and take his money”.
We simply don’t know the context of why the imprisoned boyfriend was “worried”, there is no context there.
Neither of the two main characters seem to be giving us the whole truth.
She’s not Little Mary Jumprope but he is not St. Francis of Assisi.
There is more to this story than either side is allowing to be examined. Replacing a rush to judgment with another rush to judgment is not a lesson learned, but failed twice.
“At worst, (for him) he took it to a level that she did not wish to allow. Can you rape a hooker? If she agrees to x, but not to y …and you force yourself on her to get Y, have you committed a crime?”
The woman’s job title doesn’t matter. Sex without consent is rape, period.
Dear Keith, sex without consent certainly is rape, but evidence is needed. when it’s just he said/she said and the evidence here of rape under all the circumstances is non-existent the case fails unless you think the word of a woman charging rape is entitled to more weight than the fact that she is proven to be a congenital liar.
It’s at least equally as likely that the accuser attempted to blackmail the victim with a threat to claim rape.
The rape accusations against DSK made by a maid that was also a hooker, drug dealer, and sociopathic liar should never have been given any credibility. There is a rape hysteria taking place in the U.S and it can be ended by a moratorium against all charges of rape. New laws have to be drawn protecting the accuser and accused.
The notion of a moratorium on rape charges is ridiculous. What about prosecutors following legal ethics and stop perp walking defendants and leaking all sots of stuff pretrial.
Alternatively, the law could be changed so that it is illegal to name the accuser or the accused until a trial is completed – and so that a deliberate false accusation attracts a hefty penalty.
Immigration gone nuts; if a woman in Guatemala is even looked at cross-eyed by her husband she gets asylum status.
We are importing liars, cheats, criminals and an underclass good for little more than being con men at worst and taxi drivers at best.
What is our obsession with having a million legals and illegals enter the U.S. every year? False economic growth? I don’t get and I don’t like it.
i called this one from the beginning, on pj media. i explained that false accusations of rape, molestation and domestic violence are commonplace. there is little to no legal retribution/downside for a woman to claim any of these. if a man is rich, and people believe her story, she has a very good chance of collecting a BIG $ettlement. it literally costs a woman in amerika nothing to destroy a man, any man. these one-sided laws are by design. lawyers need work. women need $$$. there is only one way to put a stop to it, start sentencing the accuser to the time the potential victim would have had to serve. not going to happen. so, we slide deeper and deeper into the cesspool that is feminist amerika.
That may be a tad hyperbolic, don’t you think. It might not be a bad idea to charge false accusers with perjury though.
Yes, that would be extreme. A guy with deep pockets could rape someone, and if she filed charges and lost, she could end up doing the time along with having been raped.
Perjury charges? Yes. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with our court systems is that they rarely file charges of perjury. They do not want to. It would clear out too many of the cases. It would reduce their employment. They are all lawyers, remember? Very chummy.
Clarice, don’t you think DSK has credibility issues…there are women in his past who have alleged some form of sexual attack…with his wife’s approval according to one report…don’t you think DSK may have lied about what happened?…don’t you think its amazing how ny media can become shills for DSK especially when he uses initials to refer to himself…don’t you think a prostitute would just take the money and move on to the next customer?…don’t you think a maid would think twice about shining light on her application for asylum unless she was upset?
Honestly, this is great for NYC tourism…Guys come to NYC where rape is a misdemeanor without bail except you can’t go to Europe!
God, I love New York!!!!!!
Neither one of these characters is first rate. Still for obvious reasons we do not bring criminal charges against people unless the predominance of the evidence points to guilt. It couldn’t possibly do so under the facts as presented by the prosecution and the NY Post.
It is astonishing to me how deficient Americans are in comprehending this basic principle Equally mindboggling both in the Duke Lacrosse case and this one is the degree to which people have been brainwashed into giving more credence to sketchy rape charges than is rational.
Clarice….I would only disagree with this particular response; ["...we do not bring criminal charges against people unless the predominance of the evidence points to guilt."]
A reminder….the grand jury system will often indict a ‘ham sandwich’ as I’m certain you are all to aware of. I also have a problem with pure circumstantial cases! A shame we no longer have a fact based juris prudence system and good old fashioned and honest investigative boots on the ground. Most everything in our society today, is seemingly corrupted from the bottom up and the top down.
They certainly may do so, but they shouldn’t. In fact, they should be told they need to find the person charged is more likely than not to have committed the crime in order to indict.
Where did you get that she “was a hooker, part of a scheme that brought in women from Guinea for this purpose”?! It was not in the Post article; the phrasing was more general. Just *a* pyramid scheme that targeted “immigrants” (so not specifically women) for an unmentioned purpose.
From the entire article read as a whole.
There were 15 investigators hired by DSK and they dug up enough dirt at the Sofitel Hotel to smear the names of thousands of guests along with dozens of employees. Vance had no choice except to backtrack and eventually drop the charges.
Women who have been victims of gang bangers eventually fall into two categories:
1: Man haters who often turn to Lesbianism or Prostitution.
2: Hotties who want to repeat the experience and will not party with only one guy.
Both are considered victims and are granted refugee status.
