I’ve noted President Barack Obama loves to talk about “being on the right side of history,” or “History is against Qadaffi.” It’s an interesting choice of terms — and somewhat revealing.
In Communist theory, there is much made of History with a capital “H.” In communist theory History is a straight-line progression from feudalism to capitalism to communism.
Communist party theoreticians would consider communism and socialism a science, and would often speak of the “Historical Dialectic.”
Is Barack Obama a communist? Certainly he’s a socialist. That he likes to couch things in terms which would be intimately familiar to any Red Army commissar or party aparatchik is certainly troubling, leaving aside completely his utter indifference to the U.S. Constitution or the rule of law.
Would it be impudent to point out that someone, decidedly not a communist, once said that “freedom and democracy will leave Marxism and Leninism on the ash heap of history”. Sometimes a figure of speech is just that.
Sometimes a figure of speech, is indeed, just a figure of speech. But you can tell a great deal about a man by the words he chooses, and given that Obama doesn’t really want us to know anything about him, we must take a close look at what he says.
Just as language illuminates cultures and nations [If a language does not have a word for a concept, then the culture and nation does not have that concept. As an example, when the West encountered China, Chinese did not have the concept of "Liberty" as we understand it. The closest thing they could translate it to was "licentiousness". The concept still does not translate well.] If an individual automatically refers to Marxist-Leninist concepts and phraseology, and stumbles, misuses, and is supremely uncomfortable with the everyday rhetoric of Western freedom; it shows where his heart and head are.

Oh, come on. Historicism had percolated through to the popular culture about the time Obama was being born. In Hawaii. Relax. There are plenty of good arguments to make without having to stoop to ridiculous and stupid ones.
obama is not socialist – he is fascist; he is not interested in nationalizing private companies – only in giving them orders.
Just waking up to this now, are you? HIs mother was communist, his mentor was a communist (Davis), his guy in the neighborbood was a communist (Ayers)…, well duh. I’m sure PJM published all this in 2007, didn’t it? Perhaps a look in PJM’s archives is in order.

Assume he is. What would he be doing differently?
He’s a statist, and all of the other isms at the same time.
At the core, all of the ism’s are the same: royalism, theocracies, socialism, communism, marxism, fascism, progressivism, statism, totalitarianism, et al
They are all 2-class societies in which the infallible rulers own everything and the serfs own nothing. It’s the way the world has worked since people gathered into cities and civilizations emerged from hunter gatherer cultures, with the exception of the United States and a few western democracies for the last 230 years.
They want it back.
