Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula has come out with the 5th issue of its Inspire Magazine. It’s got some more of the same — the wheres and whens of attacking American targets, etc. But interestingly, the issue lays out the case for why Al Qaeda supports the Arab revolutions, leveling the arguments of those who say that the group doesn’t benefit from the general upheaval. It also shows how Al Qaeda sees itself as continuing the jihad begun by the Muslim Brotherhood, but dropped when the MB became interested in elections.

leveling the arguments of those who say that the group doesn’t benefit from the general upheaval.
Who said they don’t benefit? The issue here is whether we benefit more. al Qaeda can dress it up however it wants, but it had nothing to do with the revolutions and, in fact, states in later articles that “peaceful revolution” is not the only answer (still trying to force their ideas of violent jihad down everybody’s throat).
Let’s be clear. They don’t like democracy. Open democracy does give them the ability to preach their ideology. an ideology that would end democracy as soon as it had the power either by shear numbers or by force. The question though becomes whether the people are interested in joining the ranks of the Salafis or prefer their freedom and democracy.
In essence, while AQ says that it’s a good thing for them because it gives them an opening, it is also true for the anti Salafis. They get to express their view and have a chance to really combat these views and ideas.
For me, the war has returned where it belongs: within Islam. Because that is where it is born, that is what it is about and that is who must resolve it unless they do want to follow the Salafis’ principles of Dar al Islam and Dar al Harb where the entirety (or major portion) of Muslims are at war with everybody else.
A nihilist’s war because the destruction will become so pervasive that Islam will cease to exist as a major religion and the west will be a greatly damaged in man power, economy, and soul.
Now you understand that I do understand, but I hold out hope that the modern or liberal form of Islam prevails and hope to push it along its way however we can being on the outside. Pushing the ideas of individual liberties and the secular state becomes the first weapon. Modern, Liberal Islam can be combated through speech and counter speech. Da’wa works both ways.
Otherwise, Nitchze.

Credible information.
Islam , by what Quran states is a violent religion. There is no
tolerance fror those who do not believe its “precepts”, nor is
any “family” other than those being Muslims. The Quran advocates the
use of violent force of which Muslims stand in supposed judgement of
God. Muslims not even knowing God. One does not have right to freedom
of worship, does not have the right to unbelief in an
alleged “Allah”, and suppression of those leaving Islam by choice is
violent.
Islams intent is global, not just Mid East, of eradication
unbelievers, Jews and Christians fr9om the face of the earth. One
Muslim specifically stating ” We bomb people who help the devil” on a
website.
