Obama’s “unserious” cuts?

What was Mitch McConnell thinking, calling President Obama’s plan to cut $6 billion from this year’s budget “unacceptable and it is indefensible?” That’s nearly two-tenths of one percent, which might be unacceptably high given the continued weakness in the US economy.

Certainly, there are cuts to be made. But they must be made judiciously, or we put the recovery at risk.

The Respectable Conservative is enjoys Beltay cocktail parties and lives the genteel life of a well paid, never suffering political opinion writer. The Respectable Conservative believed that Ronald Reagan was too radical, but in retrospect acknowledges that Reagan didn't actually blow up the world. But Sarah Palin might.
