It’s hard to imagine people were still frequenting the Egyptian Red Sea resorts, but after today, when a reported 90 people were murdered in three terror bombings (the third such massacre in as many years), I think that’s end of sunbathing there for a while. This Islamist psychotic behavior is now reaching a level beyond comprehension.

UPDATE: Evidently only 10 were killed, 70 wounded.

MORE: Now it’s jumped up to 30 dead. I bow to the commenter below who asked “When was it ever comprehensible?” He’s right.

Hey Muslims are just being Muslims.

  2. It’s very rational: they don’t want Western tourists or influence in Egypt

  3. 3. kpom

They’ll get fewer Western tourists, more Russian tourists. Not everyone shares Western attitudes towards risk…

  4. 4. RBMN

They attack anyone who commits the “sin” of tolerating, much less joining, the 21st-Century.

    Really?

    When was it ever comprehensible?

  6. Oh, only 10.

Well, that makes me feel a lot better.

    Roger:

It’s comprehensible,it’s ugly, it’s simple. They will kill anyone who doesn’t bow to their will, Jew, Muslim, Christian, non believer, capitalist, socialist, marxist, and they won’t stop until they are dead or we submit. They are a death cult so negotiation, reason, or any other sane form of human thinking does not enter into their minds. They are like Kamikaze pilots, shoot them down or they will blow you up. It’s a two choice world.

  8. This bombing is a huge mistake for the terrorists. Are they getting that desperate? It reminds the governments within the region that while the terrorists might especially hate the United States and Israel—even Muslim states still have to be concerned. Does anybody think that Mubarak is merely going to sit around and wait for the next attack?

I would have thought at one time that such tactics would be a huge mistake, but I am starting to wonder whether or not they aren’t effective in a grinding, subterrenean way.

People are horrified, angry, shocked, disgusted, and then…

    1) They march against George Bush, “The World’s Biggest Terrorist.”

2)They say America is the world’s biggest threat to peace,

    3) they vote in governments that do precisely what Al Qaida has indicated it wants them to do.

    4) They talk nervously about “respecting the
sensibilitie of Muslims (but never of Christians, Buddhists, Americans…).”

Not only is it comprehensible, it is effective.

    Snippet:
You are 100% correct. This is just another bombing that will never be mentioned again in a month. The Islamo apologists will refer to Abu Ghraib 1,000 times before this is ever mentioned. Hell, the Crusades still get more attention then this bombing ever will. This will get the standard “Of course this is bad but……” and the standard litany of the great Satan America and the controlling Jews bilge will follow. What get’s more attention, the unending series of terrorist bombings,( there are so many they don’t get names) or Sharon’s incursion into Lebannon? This will be in the news for week and then it will be ignored. In ten years there will be at least 200 books about Abu Ghraib but there will little to nothing written about this bombing or any of the other never ending series of explosions that are directed expressly at innocent people. Hollywood will make a movie about the detention of the Taliban in Cuba but all the innocent human deaths from Egypt, Madrid, London, Thailand, Tel Aviv,Amsterdam, Indonesia, Algeria, and the next ten bombings that happen will be ignored.Maybe Spielberg will put out a movie that “humanizes” these misunderstood souls. In fact there is no doubt in my mind that some celebrity will refer to these Islamo fascist thugs as victims of occupation and freedom fighters. Of course it’s effective, the west will continue to ignore these horrid acts or rationalize them.”Of course I don’t like them BUT I understand” Better yet, give their members scholarships at our best universities.

A great pity. Sharm El-Sheik is one of our favorite resorts on the planet: spectacular diving and tropical fish, with high-end but low-key, gracious, unhurried, and uncrowded hotels serviced by Egyptians who, as most visitors to that country quickly learn, are among the nicest people on earth. Very sad that my children wil likely not be able to know and enjoy this gem that my wife and I and many thousands of west Europeans and Russians have enjoyed so greatly over the years.
