Eason has effectively told the terrorists that if they murder journalists, CNN will blame America.

I don’t think that is true. CNN has made it plain that the US targets journalists that say bad things about the nice insurgents.
The murder of this man and his little son is not so different from the murder yesterday of the sons of an Iraqi pro democracy politician. The terrorists are going after high profile people that have had the nerve to stand up to them.
Which means Eason Jordan would probably be quite safe in Iraq.

Another way to say it would be that Eason Jordan has effectively told the terrorists that CNN blames the US for ALL journalist deaths in Iraq, even those who were directly killed by the terrorists.

This would be consistent with elitist thought. It’s not enough to the elitists to blame those killed by US military action on the US, the number must include those who die by most every method and then the number must be inflated by all methods possible.
The elites will never hold the scumbags who perpetrated today’s murder of the Iraqi journalist and his three year old son responsible for their actions. That journalist and his son would be alive today if the arrogant Americans hadn’t stuck their imperialist noses into the affairs of the noble and exotic world of Saddam. Every death everywhere, including those from tsunamis and other natural disasters, are the fault of the Great Satan. Eason Jordan in no different that his fellow cocktail party elites (dumb as a stump).

I don’t know if you guys watched Fox with Brit Hume tonight but the Eason Jordan affair was part fo the panel discussion. He did not come out looking good.

The liberal elitists at CNN, the their heart of hearts, ultimately believe that the United States is responsible for all journalist murders. The terrorists are allegedly victims of Western imperialism and reacting in the only manner that they understand. These journalists were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Well there are differences in the journalists as well.
A western journalist in Iraq does not have to be there but… a man in front of his own house in his own country dies with his son in his arms.
That is different than a Spaniard in a hotel.
Notice what the BBC is rather quick to report regarding the asassination of the journalist in Mogadishu…
They want to make that clear… it is uncertain she was targeted. Some murderous mulim mullah issued a contract on westerners in Mogadishu…
and she was shot in the back after stepping out of this hotel. But the BBC doesn’t want anyone to get even a hint that they are implying for one moment that the islamomurderers are “deliberately targetting” journalists. That would suggest the Opressed Exotics might stoop as low as the US Military and we all know nobody can go that low.
What Eason Jordan (CNN) and Richard Sambrook (BBC) are fully aware of is that are selling a product. They label the product “news” but the slices that sell are bloodshed, mayhem, and Truth to Power ™.
Therefore they need to send their employees to where the bloodshed and mayhem is, but the Truth to Power ™ part is problematic. If they speak truth to the power of the murdering islamothugs (and other murdering thugs – see Richard McEnroe’s and Thibaud’s recent comments pointing out that much of what we’re seeing is extremely violent criminal enterprises dressed up with the thin veneer of some “movement”) they will be killed. No doubts, no questions.
Since they must speak Truth to Power ™ they must manufacture some Truth and speak it to the Power that won’t kill them for doing so. That Power, of course, is the Great Satan, the Most Dangerous Nation on Earth, the Purveyor of Brutal, Heartless, Unfettered Capitalism, the Oppressor of Noble Exotics. They must sell their product (otherwise they miss out on the profits) so they do what they believe they must. They are Brutal, Heartless, Unfettered Capitalists conducting their manufactuting operations under the watchful eyes of murdering extortionists. They know that and it is the reason they do what they do.
