Who Votes There?
Readers who are interested in seeing who’s running where they are registered to vote might want to look at Strawpoll. You can create a mock ballot you can share with friends and look at who has voted for whom so far — not just at the national, but on any level. There are some problems with the data — one or two states like New Hampshire — do not have accurate listings for state lower legislatures — but most places are just fine.

To many people vote. I know that most politicians view easy universal voting the same way that publishers view universal literacy. Calling for fewer voters is viewed as less respectable than calling for newborns to be left in a corner to die. That is provable given that someone who advocated the latter now lives in the White House. What would apportionment yield if my “No Votes for Tax Eaters” plan were to be adopted? What kind of Congress would we get? What kind of State legislatures?
The biggest continuing scandal isn’t the routine ballot box stuffing in Ohio and Illinois but the systematic disenfranchisement of the members of the Armed Forces.
Two interesting statistics I read today, reported separately:
1. Democrats are running 11% ahead of Republicans in early voting.
2. Romney is running 7% ahead of Obama in early voting.
Does that mean…?
rwe @ 2: Does that mean…?
OMG!
RWE@3: Interesting catch. The main question I have, though, is why is it legal to disclose people’s votes before all polls close? Couldn’t early voting statistics skew election results? Why the HELL is this legal?
I think the reason this Nations Founding Fathers didn’t put voting for the President as a Constitutional right has a very strong possibility of biting us in our A$$ this Nov 6! The same with populous voting for the Senate, State should never have given up their mandated right to Federal Representation… We are living the accumulation of all that Constitutional Monkey’n around has created. All this talk about bi partisan cooperation is a load of Cow Patties, our Government was designed to have checks and balances and that goes for the Political parties too, we’d have a lot small Government if they didn’t Cooperate so much on passing all these laws, we’d have a lot less corruption if each side knew the other was just waiting for the other to screw up, now we have barely a peep coming from Republicans on the numerous Unconstitutional acts committed by this Clown-in-Chief 0bama, one can say that 0bama has even crossed the threshold of Treason.
Agora Plumber #4:
I guess that both party affiliation and if someone voted is a matter of public record. As for who they voted for, if you get a phone call and answer the pollster’s questions or answer pollster questions as you walk away from the voting place, then I guess it’s not only legal, but your own business.
Blast #1:
Back in the 2000 election I became somewhat involved with a group that was expressing concern and advocating for military voting rights. I wrote a rather impassioned piece saying that there are two kinds of military absentee ballots: those who vote absentee ballots because they are currently serving the country – and those who are “absentee voters” because they were killed defending the country – we do not know how they would have voted but we can be sure what their attitude would be toward military votes being discarded by organized action. That military voting rights group later faxed my piece out to some thousands of local voting officials, so I guess I am kind of “famous” with certain people.
But the funny thing is, I have heard not much more than squat from those people of late. One would think they would land on any problem with military votes and be screaming their heads off.
Another thing I found out is that when all those lawyers showed up to try to disallow military votes in Florida back in 2000, no one seemed to think to write down their names and corporate affiliations. I asked for that data, with the object of publishing it widely so people could make their personal business decisions, but the local voting officials did not have the info. I am going to make sure that never happens again.
The founding fathers were for knowledgeable voters – originally property owners. The Electoral Collage was a brilliant idea.

What do you think? The beginning of ‘I, Robot’?
Sheesh. The whole neighborhood is here at my local starbucks.
Hopefully the black out in my neighborhood outside DC will not be as long as the one last June.
Agree with Richards last post. Just enough is not enough. Its only a disaster waiting to happen.
That goes for both water and energy.
That’s why miracles are a sign from God that you need to change. They mean that your design margin is so thin that it took a miracle to avoid disaster.
Here’s an interesting read.

Romney & O are both now running ads in Minnesota and PA. This race is not going to be close.

This is the half of it. The other half 3d printing. Robots may come faster. Depends on who you talk to. Here’s a google search on 3d printing. http://tinyurl.com/9ejg3c4
The change in manufacturing that these two will bring along with a collapse in energy and water prices leading to the greening of the world’s deserts will recreate the design margins that were extant throughout much of the 20th century. They will also create the technological and captal needed for the first big off world ventures along about mid century
The reason for the change on PA is that there is an enormous leap in early voting for Romney in early voting.

I believe that Romney will win – BUT – Everyone must go and vote -
Repubs are motivated – we must take our country back from the brink of disaster.
Speaking of disaster – wher is our disaster in chief vis a vis the northeast?
Leading with his butt – I mean leading with his behind –
I mean leading from behind?

Regarding military ballots, wouldn’t it be possible to issue every active military person a “credit card” type registration card that would be good for one and only one time, that they could use electronically to be recorded in their home district and would work only during the ten days prior to election day? Thoughts?
A while ago, I said that even though I’m more of a libertarian-type, I would vote for Romney if it looks like there was any chance for him in my fairly blue state. Word has come out in the last few days that my state is increasingly competitive, so I will uphold my promise by casting the ballot for Romney instead of my Gary Johnson protest vote. Let’s pray that he can win and that we can hold his feet to the fire to keep him from becoming a typical Republican squish.
So Team Obama dispatches Pres. Clinton to Minneapolis, which is interesting enough. At the U of M campus (over 40,000 students) and downtown to boot, he drew a crowd of 1,000 people. Is that all? I would think he would draw more given his name recognition and particularly the location. Would seem to be an indicator of Liberal morale.
Just saw Karl Rove on FNC making the same point as I did in my no.2 post above.
Obviously, he reads the Belmont Club.

“WHITE HOUSE INSIDER: Obama Campaign Declares: “Gonna Shove This Storm Up Romney’s Ass”“
The Benghazi thing is going viral, refer to:
http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2012/10/30/bracken-did-obama-withhold-cross-border-authority/
Obviously, Obama’s operatives in the MSM will do everything they can to suppress this story. Hurricane Sandy was a lucky break for Obama because it served as an effective distraction. After the election, the Benghazi thing might be the basis for an article of impeachment against Obama (at the very least it demonstrates egregious incompetence). Hopefully, Obama will be booted out of office in November and there will be no need for impeachment.
I so wish I had time to sponsor a youtube video dramatization before the election. This would go viral.
Scene one: “Who I am…” Pan though lives of the Benghazi four, starting with the Ambassador, then the IT Director, then the two retired SEALs. Explain in human terms who these people were, briefly, who these people were, who the people who loved them were, their youth, their hard work to get to where they were, all the sacrifices they and their families made, up until the point there of their fateful assignments in Benghazi.
Scene two: “Something awful is happening”
Fade from a scene with the Ambassador (scene from rear – all principles will be filed in profile from the rear) shaking hands with the Turkish diplomat. “Swirl” the video perspective overhead to the city, and show armed men approaching through alley ways at night. Show the crowd of armed men breaking down the gates and rushing through, and the startled Dept of State security officers startled look as he hits the “SHTF” button.
Fade to the CIA Annex: Show the SEALs and other CIA operatives reading the emails, seeing the overhead video surveillance, hunched over, even squatting. After the second, and third offer of help is denied, see these warrior converse with themselves, weapons in hand, locking-and-loading, preparing, finally with “… we’ve got to do it, you know we’ve got to go…they’re not SENDING ANYONE ELSE! … we’re the only chance they have ..”. Trail the small band for a brief period when they depart the Annex in tactical mode, headed to the consulate.
Fade to the Consulate: Shows the arrival of the CIA security force, taking out targets as they approach, and noting the enemy strong points. They join up with State Security Agents .. and establish the perimeter.
And so on, as they help evacuate the civilians, and stand down the enemy.
Then the final scene, with Ty Woods and Glen Doughtry on opposite roofs, fighting back a superior force, as mortar rounds begin to impact. At this point, we lose focus of the hero’s, we just see their actions through a fog, as they communicate via radio.
“I have the tango… Light em up… ” and they call for strike mission and then, nothing. They call again, radio again, they are denied. They urgently request the overhead Predator to hit the enemy mortar crew as they walk the mortar rounds in on their position. The last words of Woods “.. shut down, shut it down .. they’ve got weapons tight”. Doherty: “what? why? TELL THEM that we’ve got the target painted …”. Woods: “they know, they know, but it’s not happening.. shut it down and get out of there … we’re exposed here with no support .. We’ve got to go, NOW!”
Boom … and all goes dark.
Fade to the White House Situation room. The large screen monitor with views over Benghazi is clicked off and goes black. A man who appears to be the President walks out saying “… Hillary, you’ve got damage control .. you know what to do. I’ve got a plane to catch ..”. The room is deathly silent, no one is moving, one of the young female Airmen aids stifles a sob and runs from the room.
Next scene: As brief video clips of the President plays in the background, fading in and out, with the sound track continuing, of his speech in Las Vegas, of this two appearances on the entertainment shows. The sound track includes all of the public gaiety of 9/12/2012 as the President makes his rounds. The scene of the President’s smiles, jokes, and laughter devolves to the notifications to next of kin, beginning with Ty Woods wife, holding his infant daughter, and then father, brother and sister, Glen Doherty’s family, Sean Smith, and finally, Amb. Stevens loved ones.
Final scene, as the coffins are carried from the plane upon arrival at Dover, the final narrative is Obama’s voice track saying ” “Well, if four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal. (laughter, highlight Biden glad handing Ty Woods father..)”.
I’ve got a question that I need wiser, more experienced heads than mine – I was in a loud “discussion” with my brother this evening about Benghazi – he had forwarded me a story that opined the reason the Ambassador was present in Benghazi was to do with funneling weapons to Syria insurgents; and that the two former SEALS were there as contractors to do the same, thus they would be providing weapons to our enemies since much of the rebel forces in Syria are part and parcel offshoots of Al Qaeda, and so it was more a matter of Obama doing nothing to ensure the four were killed to keep the weapons transaction to our enemies quiet…. making the four men, valient, but serving the enemy…. My response, other than there are multiple rumors of which that is one, but that the former SEALs were there to retrieve Qaddafi’s manpads and/or that the CIA was running a training base to funnel warriors to the Syria battlespace – sigh – my brother’s point being on the one side these are brave heroes abandoned by their government and military to their deaths or that these were inconvenient witnesses to transfer of weapons to the enemy a la the contra weapons scandal during Oliver North and Reagan’s administration. Any input? Thank you.
As a postscript to the above, this is the article my brother had sent –
http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/why-was-chris-stevens-allowed-to-die/
The magnitude of this “coverup” is truly frightening.
What type of executive order can Obama have issued that shuts down information flow from the W/H, State, CIA, Pentagon, FBI, major commands, all their spokespeople and the MSM (except FOX whose not allowed in the loop)?
There must be something much bigger and much scarier going on to justify the complete disregard for the facts and the on-going disinformation campaign. Otherwise some one would blow the whistle out of sheer disgust. Is everyone in the know scared too sh*tless to talk?
It must be BAD.
I heard on Fox that both Predators over the scene were unarmed…….
