After claiming she didn’t call for impeachment, and also calling impeachment in general a coup d’état, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) once again announced that she would seek President Trump’s impeachment. While accepting a BET Award (proving that she is more of an entertainer than a politician), she said, “We will impeach you, Mr. President.” Applause, applause. Earlier this month, she said that Trump would be impeached by the end of 2017. The real question is why the BET organization even gave an award to this misspeaking reactionary, who has said that we have 700 billion people living in America and has forgotten how to say the words “North Korea.” One might argue that she should not be held up as a role model for the resist-Trump movement.
