And the UN passes the “Defamation of Religions” Resolution.

I was just about to shut my computer down when I realized that there are two breaking news items that I just have to share with you.

First, according to NBC and ABC journalist Mark Schone, “Zawahiri’s Wife Releases Statement, Tells Women They Can Be Suicide Bombers.”

What’s this? The twisted triumph of feminism, Islamist-style? Women have been suicide killers before. Palestinians have forced/manipulated women as well a men into killing themselves as a way to kill Israeli civilians; various Muslim groups in Iraq and Iran, as well as the Tamil Tigers have also forced/manipulated women to become suicide killers.

Why is Al-Qaeda’s Zawahiri allowing one of his four (or more) wives to take such an active public role? And, why now?

Omaima Hassan , Zawahiri’s wife, first reminds women that their primary role is that of bearing and breeding a jihadic fighter’s sons. She counsels women to support jihad by keeping the warrior’s secrets and his home, and by wearing hijab. She also disapproves of women going out without a male escort or guide. But then, in an unconfirmed report, she goes further. According to Schone:

“Hassan also suggests that women can become suicide bombers, which she refers to as ‘martyrdom missions.’”

This is certainly different from what her husband said in 2008, in a “two-hour recorded interview posted on a web site.” Zawahiri, who is believed to be in Pakistan, insisted “that Al Qaeda did not have women members, and that the role of women in jihad was limited to taking care of the children of fighters and maintaining their homes.”

One conclusion: Watch out for suicide bombers wearing burqas.

The second piece of breaking news concerns the vote just taken at the United Nations. According to L. Bennett Graham, Legislative and International Programs Officer at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, the “Defamation of Religions” resolution passed the General Assembly in New York earlier today. It did so “by a vote of 80 in favor, 61 against, and 42 abstentions. As a matter of comparison, last year’s General Assembly passed the resolution by a vote of 86 in favor, 53 against, and 42 abstentions (in other words, the difference in last year’s votes was 33, this year it was only 19). In 2006, 111 countries were voting in favor of this resolution. So despite another loss, the momentum continues to go against this concept.”

Schiff thanks his supporters and all those who are “taking a stand for the freedom of conscience, thought, and religion…Our combined hard work continues to pay off, and while the issue of ‘defamation of religions’ continues to threaten the entire concept of human rights, we are confident that civil society’s voice will be fundamental in defeating this flawed concept and will ultimately bring a better understanding of freedom around the world. There is still plenty of work to be done between now and March, when we expect the resolution to come up again before the Human Rights Council in Geneva.”

Let me understand this. Al Qaeda wants burqa wearers, both male and female, to blow us all up but the UN does not want us to say that such killers have anything to do with Islam or Islamic jihad (or with anyone’s interpretation of Islam), lest we commit a thought crime.

I say: Shout it from the rooftops, set it to music, add it to our textbooks, teach our children. As has been said: Silence=Death.

  1. I assume wearing a burqa makes it easier to hide a bomb.

Islamists using women as suicide bombers is hardly new, as any Jewish Israeli can tell you. Moslem women are even more dangerous than the Moslem men because they are not treated with the same seriousness and security consciousness that the Moslem men are, indeed, only women security officers are even allowed to search Moslem women. Moslem women are thus able to get much closer to their victims than any man could and can cause far greater casualties. I have to maintain that the Western feminism that would seem to free Moslem women will only be used to turn these women into more effective terrorists than Moslem men, since by now most people realize just how dangerous Moslem men are and try their best to keep as far away from them as possible. You have to understand that if you are close enough to a Moslem man to hear him shout “Allah Akhbar” then you are probably within seconds of being dead or critically wounded.

  3. sign of an ideology that has become dependent on the world it would destroy, a paradox which generates much hate in many quarters. The depth of the Islamic-ist resentment reflects the fact that the Jihadi must belong to the modern global marketplace – where you have to compete to appeal to women’s desires – because today there is nowhere in this world where you can live fully apart from it; this, again, is why they want to destroy the global economy in the name of some dreamed alternative world Why does Z allow his wife a public role? I suppose it is just another under Sharia. So they have to toss a bone to the women because, well, if you don’t include them in the big hate and Utopian dream, you may well find they will turn against you because no one is immune to being moved by the marketplace of desires. And so oppressing them is not enough. You actually have to bring them into the death cult by dint of encouraging them in “their own” mimetic desires. Sure you can pretend that their primary job is to raise children, but children who will participate in the death cult. So their primary job is not really a creative one, except in the sense that once this world is destroyed the new Caliphate, supposedly, will rise from the ashes. If you don’t give the girls a stake in the Big Hate of what is, they might be attracted to a soap opera, a normal boy, or something.

Hence the “feminist” idea that Mohammed was somehow pro-woman, especially in the context of his times, is readily co-opted by a death cult that points to a world that has since fallen away from the truth. Perhaps this appeals even more than the kind of “feminism” that declares the entire past (at least back to some matriarchal golden age) to be anti-woman. From a Western conservative perspective, it’s not enough to be a feminist, if you don’t know what your desired freedom is for; and a true sense of purpose cannot be entirely divorced from acceptance of some good in the present world and past. A feminism – or any public claim to shape women’s desires – that is politically opposed to the world as it presently is, or has been, in some fundamental sense, must become destructive, as with any totalitarian ideology that promises there is only one road to the future that will redeem the humiliations of past and present. Women, like men, are always liable to falling for myths that the purpose of our freedom is to worship the death cult that promises to transform this world. And when you can share a cause with your man and your children, it appeals to feminine instincts. However, believing that Mohammed was good for women must only give further depth to the cause, to the degree it takes the edge off the Utopian desire: you don’t have to imagine a completely new world, just one that, after the present world is destroyed, gets back on the original Islamic track. I’m not sure the dreamers in a return to a matriarchal golden age have found such a believable blue print in the past.

  4. Seems I lost the beginning of my previous comment, which began like this: “Why does Z now allow a public role for women? I guess this is another sign…

From what I’ve experienced, I wouldn’t have the heart to trust male or female…naked or in full garb!

It seems the “religion of peace” creates much distrust when they say things out both sides of their mouths! Hmmm, must be why they keep uttering about how peaceful this religion is; however, every evil thing they do is based upon their religious beliefs! Like honor killing and suicidal bombers! All done for the sake of the, “GOOD”??? Whose good?

Well, let’s hope all burqas become as transparent as their religious ideologies are!

  6. 6. Lou Santacroce

So, telling the truth is defamation? And Islam is a religion of peace? Then war is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength!

  7. 7. HellenoChristian

Islamic/-ist women (living in The West!) claim they are “free human Beings”, who will forever fight (kill?) for Islam against The Monocultural (?) and enslaving (?) West ….

If we love Humanity (Psychè = Soul) we must criminalize Islamic/-ist Ideology.

Islamic/-ist Peace is that of … the Grave!

Well, he obviously has a surplus there, so he can easily afford to lose one or two to the cause.

    Yes! That’s exactly the idea.

And nobody has the slightest excuse not to recognize those facts at this point.

The mass murderers and random murderers that are wrecking havoc on the world are from the mohammedan countries and culture. The mohammedan countries are represented by the OIC. The OIC controls the UN.

The mohammedan imperialists conduct a program of murder. The UN instructs everybody not to mention the fact.

What part of that could possibly be more obvious?

The UN operates in support of the jihaddi imperialist program of murder, pure and simple.

The only surprising element left, is the fact that the UN is still standing.

No, really, I think the defamation of religion resolution is a step in the right direction. We can now, I assume, expect a halt to the constant torrent of anti-Jewish rhetoric that spews out of almost every conceivable Arab institution and media. Sometimes it pretends to distinguish between “Zionism” and “Judaism” but usually doesn’t. The Hamas charter, for example, calls for the extermination of Jews wherever they may be.

But we can now expect this to stop and Muslims will not, of course, ask anything of anyone else that they aren’t willing to extend to others.

I this think presages a new era of mutual religious respect. I can hardly wait.

Off Topic but not too much:

here a Text by Ibn Warrak (Pakistani Former Muslim), about Totalitarianisms, which talks about and compares Communism, Nazism/Fascism and Islam: http://www.newenglishreview.org/custpage.cfm/frm/30778/sec_id/30778

Women invited to become Suicide-bombers: the Option for them is to live under Communism or Islam-ism (a Totalitarianism, Freedom-icide); where is the Problem for them to kill themselves, killing Others, in order to avoid living under above mentioned (dreadful) Totalitarianisms?

Islam-ism, Totalitarianisms, Suicide-Killing, …, it is all part of a same vicious Circle, which (most probably) has to be exposed in order to be brocken?

One assumes that you are speaking ironically.

    12. Islam does not defame Religions, it defames people (Jews, Christians, “Stones’ Worshippers”, Pagans, …). About Judaism it says that Judaism was perfect, then filthy Jews hijacked it, therefore they have to be punished (+ they have to be punished because they did not recognize Muhammad as the last and most perfect Prophet). Jews who support Islam-ism are signing their Death Sentence (and that of anyone – Non-islamic – else).

Women are far more effective suicide bombers than men. As secondary citizens, clothed so in voluminous garments, their faces obscured, they are less subject to scrutiny. They can carry a heavy basket or wheel a baby stroller. The Quran is a book of rules, among the first of which is that the wife or daughter is subservient to the husband or father. In Islamic nations, almost all women are fully accepting of this role. If your husband orders you to be a suicide bomber, you accept the assignment, cooperate without complaint, knowing you will have a special place in paradise.

Our greatest threat from Islam is not Jihad. It is our tolerance for a religion which is, at its core, totally intolerant of all other faiths, fanatically dedicated to world domination. This belief is as true for “moderate” Muslims as for Jihadists. No devout Muslim, however meek and mild he/she presents is/herself, will criticize an act of faith performed by another true believer. It is a sin against the faith. Which is why you never hear any protests from “moderates” regardless of the horror of a terrorist attack.

One of our founding principles was separation of church and state. In Islam, the “church” IS the state. Unquestionably and absolutely. In the USA as much as in Pakistan. No Muslim will put our Constitution and its amendments ahead of the Quran abd Sharia law.

Try these questions on your nice, well-educated Muuslim moderate acquaintances:

Are you a true believer in Islam, in the infallibility of the Quran?

Do you believe in the Great Day of Judgment, when you will be measured by your adherence to the rules of the Quran, and cpndemned by denying your faith?

Do you believe that Islam is destined to rule all the nations of the world?

Do you place the words of the Quran above any man-made law including the Constitution of the United States?

The answers will always be “Yes”, or total evasion. So much for moderation.

It is not a matter of their being non-assimilable. It is a matter of not permitting such an insidious, primitive, destructive religion to proliferate through deliberately taking advantage of the self-congratulatory tolerance of a society so enfeebled by materialism, a sacharine philosophy of “moral equivalence”, and witless compassion
that it is unwilling to even perceive the cancer and destroy it.

There can be no middle ground with Islam. They are committed to world domination through the combination terror, arms and electoral power, facilitated by the stupidity of Western tolerance of intolerance.
