Obama Speaks, The Heart Sinks

May 24th, 2013 - 8:47 pm

He’s actually getting worse.  This president will not admit that we are in a war, as President George W. Bush defined it, with various terrorist organizations and with countries that support them.  In his overlong, rambling speech to the National Defense University on terrorism and national security, the president never even mentioned Iran, which happens to be our main enemy and the world’s leading sponsor of international terrorism.  Not one word.

You may well ask how it is possible for the president to talk about his counterterrorism “strategy” without addressing the main source of terrorism.  You would be right to ask, and you should also ask how it is possible that, so far as I can see, not one of the pundits, experts and commentators noticed the omission.  They were so busy with the future of Gitmo and where captured terrorists should be tried, and how many drones can fit on the head of a jihadi, that they missed the biggest thing.

Talk about a dog that didn’t bark!

The speech was bizarre, to put it mildly.  It was often incoherent, as when he gritted his teeth and actually admitted that there is an ideological conflict between us and the terrorists.  “Most…of the terrorism we face,” he said,  ”is fueled by a common ideology…that Islam is in conflict with the United States and the West.”  Without taking a deep breath, he hastily added that the “common ideology” was “based on a lie.”  Why?  Because “the United States is not at war with Islam…”

It’s typical of the president’s world-view that he would assume any such war to be instigated by us, but in this case the jihadis have it right, and he’s got it backwards.  There is indeed a war, it is theirs, the jihadis’ war, and they are waging it because they firmly believe they are commanded to do so by the Almighty.  They aim to destroy or dominate Western infidels and apostates.  Those commands are in the Koran, and are repeated by a great mass of imams, ayatollahs and mullahs.  Those thousands of Iranians or Hezbollahis who chant “death to America” mean just that.  It’s the reason for their jihad against us.

But President Obama could not bring himself to mention that.  Indeed, the one time he used the words “violent jihad” he wasn’t talking about the Quds Force, or Hezbollah, or Islamic Jihad, or the other terrorist organizations.  He was talking about–listen very carefully–”radicalized individuals here in the United States.”  Yes, if we take the text seriously, he’s saying that violent jihad is a homegrown American thing.

I know it’s hard to believe, but here’s the full context:

…we face a real threat from radicalized individuals here in the United States. Whether it’s a shooter at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin; a plane flying into a building in Texas; or the extremists who killed 168 people at the Federal Building in Oklahoma City – America has confronted many forms of violent extremism in our time. Deranged or alienated individuals – often U.S. citizens or legal residents – can do enormous damage, particularly when inspired by larger notions of violent jihad. That pull towards extremism appears to have led to the shooting at Fort Hood, and the bombing of the Boston Marathon. (my emphasis)

Notice the sly use of “appears to have led” in the last sentence.   And notice that he is only talking about “deranged or alienated” individuals.  Lone wolves.  Disturbed people.   Not a mass movement that intends to destroy us.

When we're talking about progressive liberals, we're not talking about intelligent people here, though they believe quite the opposite.

I'm not surprised Obama is confused about violence caused by codified and consistent versions of hate speech as opposed to anomalous, anecdotal and individual motivations.

That's because Obama's own political base, including Obama himself, regularly indulge in disdainful exaggerations of America and it's history.

In the eyes of a liberal, America was simply at one time a land of slavery. There is no nuance there. There in no "but not in Michigan" or stories of Minnesota regiments torn to pieces at Gettysburg to buy 5 min. time or anti-Jim Crow laws or regional expressions of lynching. It's all one great mess.

Take all of human history and apply that same view; that only Westerners have ever indulged in the things liberals find most sinful.

To this very day, more so than ever if you're paying attention and reading what I'm reading, liberals are perfecting hate speech to the point where to be a single race and gender is itself an act of immorality.

This very weekend, the popular feminist science fiction convention called WisCon is being held. It has a racially segregated room they announce on their website as a "Safer Place For People of Color" and Tweets announcing parties in private rooms that say "Come join us for delish Nepalese fudz and non-white company!"

It's pretty obvious who the enemy is in their view.

Multiply that out by who knows how many thousands of times across America. It is talk of diversity, postcolonialism, misogyny, homophobia, Islamophobia, intersectionality, privilege and racial supremacy. These things are taken for granted - there is no dialogue, only accusations.

It is the President's own mentor Rev. Wright, it is on MSNBC nightly, where they are now endorsing statutory rape in Florida, innocent by virtue of a gay identity. It is in all phases of our classrooms, Tweeted by celebrities and the people behind them who create pop art.

The single greatest movement that vindicates and legitimizes Muslim rabble-rousing against the West is for a fact homegrown.

Islamic grievances against the West are in perfect accord with Obama's own world view. Despite all the millions of words of rhetoric by the Left, their so-called "principles" are very simple: right and wrong is a matter of identity. On that Rev. Wright in his pulpit and imams in theirs agree.

In all of this world, the two greatest, mainstreamed and most well thought out expressions of hate speech have only two sources: Islam and the Dem Party. Flash mobs of black teenagers smashing white businesses don't come from no where, unless we are to believe their individual experiences are so totally oppressive and similar from white racists it is a given.

Both Islam and the Dem Party are machines that exaggerate and mitigate the sins of one identity at the expense of another. In terms of a philosophical and intellectual space, that is a classic form of Nazism and supremacist bigotry.

I read both Al Jazeera and the Daily Kos. In my opinion, the Kos is a far worse source of hate speech than Al Jazeera, which at least pretends to some form of balance, rather than the rabid, open and puerile expressions of bigotry found at all levels of Dem Party support.

It is hard to say which is more delusional: the imams in Iran or Democracy Now, this very week trotting out known Nobel liar Rigoberta Menchu as a voice of justice. The fact is, because of her identity, Menchu is incapable of being a liar, just as an 18 yr. old gay woman is incapable of the statutory rape of a 14 yr. old.

It is no coincidence that the black academic and political Left confirms what I have just written by regularly claiming non-whites are incapable of racism, through jerry-rigging the term into one-sided incomprehensibility.

Make no mistake about who these people are or the delusions they suffer under. Both Islam and the Dem Party can show you all the evil in the world by the simple use of identity. Within that paradigm, actions are meaningless, which means reality itself is without meaning.

Obama said in his book that when the political winds blow, his loyalty is to the Muslims.

Even if he does not consider himself a Muslim, he sees them as a ready-and-willing savage army that will kill off all the people that he finds undesirable.

He loves the idea of imposing a draconic Shari'ah-esque "complete lives" system to force a population to live in fear of the ruling class under pain of death.

EVERY Progressive "true believer" wants what Islam provides. Even if they do not specifically wish to believe in Allah, they love the level of total life control and barbaric punishment that Islam demands.

In a PJ world exclusive: a masterful young analyst handed me the conclusion:

"the US (the west) is headed for a collision with "natural selection"!

The West is at war with:
G-d....(who are you betting on in that one?)....&....Free speech...&..The truth..&...The right to tell the truth...&..itself et al

1) womans right to choose; but not in the middle east where its sex on demand!
2) Blacks can buy in any neighborhood! but Jews in Israel can not buy in parts of Jerusalem!
3) Canadian oil bad! mideast oil purchases that fund the war against US:GOOD
4) Spotted owls good! unborn babies bad!
5) Hugo Chavez Omama: good! Sharia: Good! IRS/TSA: police state good!
6) 20 million new undocumented citizens: good! Many that hate us: good!

More proof the USA is in real trouble is that zero people are demanding the IRS be closed.

et al....

Ugh.

Tragic.

How did this happen to our country?

And why, oh why, is the (loathsome) media (a pox on them) not tearing this Administration up as they did with President Bush?

Really? You ask this question now? Unless you are under 30 you have no reliable excuse for not knowing the answers to these questions.

It isn't tragic, it is malevolent evil and only needs the absence of virtue and morality to flourish. Save the gnashing of teeth and begin the arduous and selfless task of weeding the garden around you of this noxious weed we call Socialism and Progressivism but can be found in public under the name of Multiculturalism and Political Correctness. For this evil has many names and masks but can be readily discerned by its actions.

Dr. King said, "Let a man be judged by the content of his character and not by the color of his skin." So should the Choom King be judged and found wanting...

Sometimes its the wiser not to keep your enemy on the 'public' front burner telegraphing your every thought and strategic plans. We've become far, far to public with our foreign relations issues -- especially, those with whom we have on our war room table. Well time to shut up and ignore them publically for sometime. The Bush administration said we will not allow Iran to achieve nuclear weapons. The Obama Administration carried forth the Bush pledge. I'm sure Israel and our principal allies and other regional nations all agree. Beyond that, the 'public' dosen't need to know more. That said, there is no doubt media journalists and bloggers who would be more than willing to publish in advance any tactical plans and troop movements being implemented. There are NO secrets in America anymore!

We are dealing with people who thing we are patsies. Acting like patsies does not help, except for a relatively short period while you are putting your battle plans together.

I never said nor inferred we be "patsy" as you state. What I did say is, that we need to revert back to the times when we safeguarded our strategies, our military contingencies and curtailed our for public consumption geopolitical philosophies. The place to be tough is in the backdoor channels of negotiations and -- leave it there. The enemy fears not having a clue what is going on other than the tough options handed them in the classified channels of negotiating. Today we channel everything including what should be highly classified through the public media venues -- STUPID!!

"The speech was bizarre ..."

This Presidency is bizarre. If Hollywood had written the script for the Obamanation Presidency, no one would have bankrolled it because it would have seemed so ... bizarre, so astonishingly improbable, so unbelievable.

Now the unbelievable has happened: Obama, Biden, Clinton, Holder, Kerry, Rice, ad absurdum. This adsur ... er, administration is in free fall and the U.S. along with it. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does.

What a nightmare. Americans lives and freedoms are being trampled on by this President and the low-life, lowered-expectations, incompetents Oblahblah has gathered around him. It wouldn't do for his Cabinet to be brighter than he is, so he's surrounded himself with a bunch of less-than-stellar drones.

One is put in mind of lines from a Y.B. Yeats' The Second Coming:

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

... And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Or, how about the ending of T.S. Eliot's The Hollow Men ('perfect definition of the present POTUS and his stuffed-with-straw, empty, sightless crew):

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
