Today I answer a question from myself. It might also explain, in part, why my column is late this week.

Dear Bad Advice,

I’m addicted to foodgawker. I can’t get any work done. Now that it has infinite scrolling I can’t even pretend I’ll stop after the first page. How will I ever finish another column ever again?

- Me.

This is going to sound like bad advice, but I should probably spend a little less time working.

Slack off more, indeed! It's summer time.

In Obama's economy, slackerdom is at an all time high. Most of it not by choice. One might say he is anti-job and doesn't seem to like his very much, instead maximizing time on the golf course, on vacation, traveling with the 'Prompter and speechifying.

Benghazi under attack, a slack off opportunity. Snowden steals a bunch of intel, I mean, he's not going to "scramble some jets" or phone China or Russia. It's not the slacker way. Getting coal out of the ground or drilling for oil in America? Can't do that, that's real work. Build a pipeline? Ix-nay on the ork-way.

Hannah, you've identified an important trend that starts at the very top. May we all survive this slack off economy and get back to business in 2016.

Way ahead of you, Hannah. I'm already functioning at maximum slack.
