Fur Coat-Clad Lady Gaga Stabs PETA In The Back

Lady Gaga is the latest celebrity to draw outrage from PETA, with the animal rights advocacy group suggesting that she’s a “turncoat” for professing to be anti-fur but wearing it in recent public appearances.
In a letter to the pop star (SEE BELOW), PETA vice president Dan Mathews starts by saying he’d “long admired” Gaga for telling Ellen DeGeneres, “I hate fur, and I don’t wear fur.”
But Mathews then links to several pictures of Gaga “in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass,” leading him to wonder if she has “amnesia.”

Haven’t y’all realized yet that celebrities eschew wearing fur only as long as PETA is PAYING them to publicly eschew wearing fur? I have seen celebrity after celebrity (Madonna springs to mind) who posed for PETA ads decrying the practice of fashionable fur, and then a few years later – when PETA is no longer paying them a salary – wearing fur on the red carpet. And not fake fur, mind you, but real fur. Celebrities are mostly a bunch of vacuous idiots, which is why so many are liberals. Calling liberals hypocrites is so mild as to be ridiculous. I think we need to coin an entire new category of hypocrisy to describe liberal hypocrisy.
She’s an “entertainer”, not a thinker.
But, then, neither are PETA. They’re nothing but thugs.
It wasn’t the wearing of fur alone that angered PETA: it was that she wore it during the longest spell of global warming in decades! Fashion faux pas extraordinaire! They would’ve been fine with it in December!
Geez, Dan, get a grip! PETA served it’s purpose and gave Lady G some free publicity. What more do you want? Real commitment??? Please! (Sucker!!)
Hold on there, cowboys… Gaga is a very smart, professional and hardworking musician. She’s also devout Roman Catholic.

The song “Edge of Glory” was about her grandfather dying after a very good life. The title refers to him being just about to cross over into heaven.
Tony Bennett, a professional singer if ever there was one, had nothing but good to say about her after they worked together. Elton John, no slouch either, asked her to be Godmother to his kid.
Just because she takes off her clothes and acts outrageously doesn’t mean she’s an idiot. I’d take of my clothes if I could figure out how to get millions for it. Most of us would. Unfortunately, I don’t have the rest of what’s needed…world class talent.

From a very young age, she was toting her full size keyboard across town to practice sessions early before school starts, and had been working for well over a decade before her “overnight success”. With the fur, she’s changed her mind. What, is the halmark of brilliance refusing to change, regardless of what new facts show up? So she decided to tell PETA to go bite the wall. You’re getting after her for that? Really?
Thanks for the eloquent defense. She’s very open about being a Catholic school-girl. And how it helped her. One friend pulled her kids from a failing public school and sent them to Catholic school, on the idea that her kids would learn, have discipline, and have the mental strength to disagree and forge a creative path, if need be. She was scared of all the movies where conformity is beaten into the kids.
Her kids are flourishing.
So, yeah! Lady Gaga! an unlikely missionary!
This is the same woman who wore a meat suit to an award event. I don’t think she really cares about PETA that much.
And PETA kills puppies. Scum.
When she was just Stephanie Germania she had the talent but she did not have the fame or fortune. Success followed from her acting outrageously and getting publicity from shocking the establishment.
PETA is now the establishment so congratulations to her for recognizing that and making it pay off for her.
They are the Andy Warhol’s of literature. They were far more flash than substance, and certainly a precursor of things to come.
