if there is one thing that libs and repubs can agree on is that this show sucks
Which country is the greatest then Mr. Daniels?
As young people wander into the voting booth to make America the greatest nation on earth to spend more money we don’t have on literacy, life expectancy, and other government programs that supposedly will make America great let’s remove the greatest country on earth.
What happens to the world economy?
That is right there would be no economy, just government.
What happens to Australia with no American Military?
That is right, a massive Chinese invasion force to land expansion.
What happens to Canada without America?
Nothing happens. Canada does not become a world leader, they don’t defend freedom or national interests and slowly become fiscially insolvant and irrelevent on the world stage.
What happens to Japan?
Chinese trade imbalance and manipulation keeps them irrelevent on the world stage.
What happens to the European countries?
Russia. The Russian military no longer concerned about NATO or US forces “reclaims territory”, suppresses its citizens and promotes its national self interest with no check from the US.
The middle east explodes and out of the ashes and war the rest of the world can only hope does not spread to every region of the planet.
Without America there is no bastion of freedom, no opprotunity and all that would be left are failed liberal governments in the face of brutal authoritarian governments or religious genocide. The idea of representative government would be destroyed in a world without America.
Literacy is not the measure of a great nation. Neither is life expectancy.
Innovation, invention and the protection of liberty to earn a profit on ideas, services and production matters. Consumerism does not make a great countrym. Production and enjoying the fruits of your labor makes a great country. Voluntary compassion, social assistance and financial support makes a great country. Not a compulsionary tax, fine or mandate as Mr. Daniels promotes. That does not make a great nation.
It is time to show Mr. Daniels, Newsroom, HBO and Team Obama that America really is the greatest nation on Earth.
Everything above is also exactly what is wrong with Ron Paul.
P.S. I recall the Austrailian kids referring to the US Fleet as “the Austrailian Army”, as it kept China away from them.
Actually the world would be the opposite, but GO NATIONALISM.
But it’s on HBO, this site’s favorite channel! You must surely be mistaken, afterall, they saved television (or so you told us)
I used to think that also, but I since learned better. The nature of rights in the US is unlike other countries. Freedom of speech, for example. Try saying some things you can in the US, and you can get it for libel in the UK (or here in Israel). Canada – do you know that the bill of rights in Canada was temporarily suspended a few decades ago? How about election restrictions? Hete speech laws? Official ID cards, which you technically must carry. Definition of treason. Grand Juries. (I don’t like the petit jury, so I left it out.)
WHY ARE WE GIVING THEM PUBLICITY?
No-one would watch the show if we didn’t keep on quoting it!
