Meet the Radical DOJ Unit Investigating Ferguson Shooting

August 20th, 2014 - 10:41 am

PJ Media has been covering the Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division for years.  This is the unit that will be investigating the shooting in Ferguson and deciding whether to charge the police officer with civil rights crimes.

PJ Media had to sue Eric Holder to obtain the resumes of the lawyers he hired to populate this unit. No wonder.  The “Every Single One” series at PJ Media revealed that all of Holder’s attorney hires were leftists, some even with a history of anti-police activities.  Read the detailed biographies of the lawyers here.

Why does it matter that the DOJ unit that will investigate the Ferguson police is stacked with leftists and ideologues?  Because anti-police biases of lawyers in this unit have resulted in gross prosecutorial misconduct against police officers.

United States District Judge Kurt Engelhardt issued this blistering 129-page opinion documenting prosecutorial misconduct by DOJ lawyers seeking to convict New Orleans police officers of civil rights violations.  These lawyers are still employed by the Criminal Section at the Civil Rights Division. Hans von Spakovsky has this summary of the rage directed at the DOJ from the bench.

Trying to figure out what the prosecutors had done sent the court “on a legal odyssey unlike any other.” But that legal odyssey led the judge on September 17 to grant a new trial to the New Orleans police officers.

It is the first time, according to Judge Engelhardt, that federal “prosecutors acting with anonymity used social media to circumvent ethical obligations, professional responsibilities, and even to commit violations of the Code of Federal Regulations.” The 129-page order, which details the misbehavior of the Louisiana DOJ lawyers and the Civil Rights Division’s Dobinski, is appalling reading. And it isn’t just that Dobinski was a high-level Justice Department lawyer who was posting anonymous blogs about the trial.

She also encouraged other anonymous bloggers, who “repeatedly posted vigorous pro-prosecution statements strongly condemning the defendants, their witnesses, and their entire defense.” To make matters worse, Dobinski was the supervising “taint” attorney assigned to the New Orleans case.

PJ Media covered Dobinski’s misconduct here, here and here.  As Holder moves forward in Ferguson, keep the documented misconduct of his lawyers in mind.

The first lesson to be drawn from this is if we EVER get a Republican President again, s/he fires every living soul in the appointive ranks of the federal government - EVERY DAMNED ONE! Some of them may, just may, be apolitical technocrats; let them miss a check or two and if they kiss the ring, hire them back. The rest can lose their houses, cars, boats, airplanes, vacay homes, and girlfriends; you shouldn't buy stuff like that if you really need a job that is definitionally temporary. If you flood the market with fired leftist even the leftist/Democrat front groups won't be able to provide for all of them, so some of them will have to tuck tail and go back to the district and working for a living.

Well White folk, it looks like the call of the Black community is revenge for everything that happened for the last 200 years. It looks like we should have sent them ALL back to Africa when we had the chance. There will be NO transparent justice ever again. No equality. No common decency or respect by the Black community. Only extremism that is coddled, accepted and encouraged by the Black administrators that now hold the highest offices in our country. What a shame the Black community is abusing the constitution to advance an agenda of reverse discrimination by Obama and his cronies. It is obvious the Black Community learned NOTHING from there own sufferages. This always was Obama and Holders plan, to divide the country by race and apparently, the Black community is not smart enough to see through it and do what is right. This is so wrong and un-American of Holder to use semantics to race bait the community of Freguson and the rest of America. Holders intent is to obviously stir resentment and chaos in all Black communities against White Law Enforment Officers. I say fine. Let the Blacks Police themselves. We can see from history how well they behave in the "hoods". We can see how well they preserve their own property values. We can see their pride of ownership. We can see their pride of community. We can see their lack of growth as a race. We can see their FAILURE to succeed when given the opportunity. We can see their desire to remain subjects of "the system" rather than live as free people. Yes, Black America, show us White Crackers what you can do. I'm anxious to see this grandious advancement our country will experience! Or will you take us back to Africa and the Middle East? Will Slums and devastation be your mark in history? Like Detriot, Chicago and Dearborne. Show me what you've got because what I'm seeing now is pure ghetto. 72% of African American Children are born to Single Parents. What is wrong with you people? Is that what you call "Responsible Adults"? And you know EVERY ONE of those children are born into welfare. YOU sentenced them to a life of misery! Yeah, SHOW ME what you've got Black America because right now, you aren't showing me diddly-squat! Now think about this comment and think about what you're doing? Is this all there is now days? 50 years later and we still have these sentiments? Unbelieveable.

The poor cop should just kill himself right now, to make their lynching complete. His life is over. He will be deprived of his livelihood. There will be no place in CONUS that he will be able to earn a living. The fix is in to make sure that St. Michael is elevated like the gansta wannabe Trayvon Martin was.

Mr. Adams, can you comment on Critical Legal Theory? As detailed by VDH on NRO,

"In some sense, Ferguson is emblematic of our times in which the sanctity of established law exists only to the degree that it is considered useful in promoting a more egalitarian agenda. In the matter of the recent influx at the southern border, we were told that the crisis atmosphere, and the perceived just cause of impoverished foreign nationals seeking to cross the border, made existing immigration enforcement either unfair or irrelevant. A new policy of open borders then emerged with the power of law and the resources of federal enforcement to give it effect.

So we live now, I think, in service to critical legal theory: Legal statutes are seen as constructs that legitimize the prejudices of the wealthy and the privileged of society. Our so-called legislatures and judiciaries use the law as means of coercion to ensure their own position in a most unfair hierarchy. In response, the proverbial people, whether in Ferguson or at the border certainly, or, yes, at the Obama Department of Justice, have the moral right to ignore these constructs and instead to fashion their own sort of higher justice, which deserves to be canonized as legal and binding."

That's a whole course. Nutshell: law is a tool of the powerful to oppress those out of power. It is not an objective neutral leveler.

Those out of power: middle class, working people, law enforcement, teachers. "Civil Rights" seems to be a construct to give power to only certain groups. Being charged with a "Civil Rights Violation" means those in power get to redefine or deconstruct any act, event or reality any damn way they wish. As the Stones brainwashed us with "...every cop a criminal and all the sinners saints..."

That will be nigh unto impossible because starting next year, if it hasn't already started, rampant burrowing will begin happening. That's where political appointees in a waning administration start having their positions converted to Civil Service jobs, with all the protections that attend to that classification. These soldiers that Holder recruited are all True Believers. They will look on burrowing not as the insecure act of the mediocre and the cowardly, but as part of their calling to attack attack attack. We can only hope that Adams will report on the burrowing, not that it will do any good, because I'm sure a Dem run OPM will be most accommodating.

Maybe this is bitchy, but looking at Dobinski's photograph, I wonder if she's seeking vengeance on behalf of nerds everywhere.

Holder has done more than anyone else in the Obama gang to destroy the rule of law, and there is no reason to trust him to impartially investigate anything.

He is currently in contempt of Congress, and should be impeached and removed from office..
