This is CNN

A news editor “plagiarized at least 50 published stories” at the Time-Warner-CNN-HBO-owned news network, John Nolte writes today at Big Journalism, linking to a brief item at CNN.com, which noted, among other things:

CNN has discovered multiple instances of plagiarism by Marie-Louise Gumuchian, a former CNN news editor. She wrote frequently about international news, writing and reporting about Africa, Europe, and the Middle East from our London bureau.

As John adds:

This is the second instance of a CNN staffer plagiarizing in as many years. In August of 2012, CNN anchor Fareed Zakaria was suspended by the left-wing cable news network after he was caught copying from a New Yorker article.

Of course, it’s not like CNN’s coverage in recent years has been any great shakes when its journalists aren’t plagiarizing others, hence the recent unexplained phenomenon that has caused much of its former audience to be swallowed up by a black hole.
