Current TV Staffers Have a Moment of Clarity
Too good to check: “Current situation: Staffers talk about first meeting with Al Jazeera,” according to the New York Post:
Just call him Al Gorezeera.
Yesterday morning, the still shell shocked staff at Current TV was called to an all hands staff meeting at its San Francisco headquarters, which was teleconferenced to their offices in LA and NYC, to meet their new bosses.
That would be two of Al Jazeera’s top guys: Ehab Al Shihabi, executive director of international operations, and Muftah AlSuwaidan, general manager of the London bureau.
Ominously missing was the creator of Current, the self proclaimed inventor of the Internet and savior of clean energy, Al Gore, although his partner, Joel Hyatt, stood proudly with the Al Jazeera honchos.
Of course Al didn’t show up,” said one high placed Current staffer. “He has no credibility.
“He’s supposed to be the face of clean energy and just sold [the channel] to very big oil, the emir of Qatar! Current never even took big oil advertising—and Al Gore, that bulls***ter sells to the emir?”
Wait, it took you this long to discover that the Goracle was a bulls***ter? After 15 years or so of posts and articles from the right side of the aisle highlighting Al’s myriad hypocrisies? Paging Mr. Robert Conquest to the white courtesy phone, please…
I wonder if the Emir’s flunkies knew just who that ex-Current partner was standing proudly next to them.
On the minus side for them, the man born Joel Hyatt Zylberberg is Howard Metzenbaum’s son-in-law and all that would entail for the likes of Al Jazeera’s audience members.
On the plus side for them, his old law firm is the one whose firing of a lawyer with AIDS inspired the Tom Hanks movie, Philadelphia, so there is that. Even if Hyatt’s a filthy subhuman in the eyes of Al Jazeera’s viewers, at least he knows how to deal with even filthier subhumans.
The convoluted pretzels of leftist morality and their indulgences never cease to amuse. Gay-firing Jewish paragon of environmental moral authority sells out to the petroldollar-funded anti-semetic genocidal propogandists and it’s all hunky-dory just as long as it blocks an evil right-wing talk show host from home cable access.
These useful idiots are no longer useful but in their favor, at last they’re showing signs of no longer being idiots.

Environmentalists are just useful idiots to the far left. They are stupid enough to have actually believed Al Gore was a committed environmentalist activist. When he sold them out to pocket $100 million dollars, his real green commitment shown through. No surprise to us, but to them it was an eye opener. Oh well, it will get limited coverage in the lamestream media and be soon forgotten by the left.
What I thought was telling was those on the far left actually welcoming this sale because it would give Muslims a voice in America.
Al Gore probably could care less. He just likes getting the money. Think of it, he was driving that station into the ground (it was heading toward bankruptcy) and managed to walk away with a sizable profit. Think of all the chakra releases that will buy him!
