If you’re a CEO working in an industry with a giant target on its back, which has been threatened with bankruptcy from the president and extinction from the vice president while they were on the campaign trail last year, how do you prepare for a television interview? You follow the lead of Massey Energy’s Don Blankenship, who’s so well prepared, he absolutely smokes his interviewer, when she tries to pin him into rhetorical corners regarding both “global warming” and cap & tax, in a segment recorded before ClimateGate broke. Don’t miss this.

    Don Blankenship: WOW!

If I were the interviewer, I’d be feeling a little uncomfortable right now.

  2. Am I the only one that thought the interviewer looked like a young Barbra Streisand?

Slick, he is not. But he is correct on all points and effectively rebuts all the interviewer’s misconceptions and slants.

We certainly need MORE business LEADERS in the country like Mr. Blankenship. I wish the nuclear power industry executives at the Nuclear Energy Institute were not such rent seekers.
