Sarah Silverman Endorses Bernie Sanders, and It's as Dumb as You Think

She starts with a reference to pubic hair, and it goes downhill from there. Comedian and actress Sarah Silverman has endorsed Democrat presidential candidate, and avowed socialist, Bernie Sanders.

In the video embedded on the next page, Silverman makes frequent disparaging reference to Citizens United, the Supreme Court ruling which enabled corporations and unions to contribute freely to independent expenditure groups working to influence voters.

“[Sanders] has proven that Citizens United is not a necessary evil,” she claims. “It’s just evil.” But she offers nothing to support this claim. Nothing. This is a common rhetorical tactic among the Left, repeatedly calling something evil without articulating why until people just accept the claim without thinking.

Silverman also attempts to rationalize socialism, portraying it as the sole means by which poor people can achieve anything.

Good Lord. Don’t worry. Under President Sanders, you can still become a super rich a**hole. It’s just that your fellow hard-working citizens don’t have to feed their children cat food in order for you to do it.

These are the two options in the minds of a Sanders supporter: stealing money from those who have earned it, or feeding your kids cat food. There are simply no other options.
