It’s a great thing the Met is doing for opera lovers around the world. Just check the broadcast schedule, make your way to your designated local movie theater on the specified day and time, plunk down about $20 (bring an additional $7,230 or so if you want popcorn, sheeesh) then go sit in the dark and enjoy world-class opera live on the big screen. Sub-titles are provided, plus interviews with the singers and views of the gritty backstage action during intermissions.
