Absentee Hooey

Major Garrett on Fox just reported that Dade County in Florida is saying that all the absentee ballots there–in excess of 60,000–won’t be counted until Thursday.

That’s bureaucratic hooey. Every ballot was counted by two in the morning in 2000 (and then, of course, recounted again over the next several days). They’re hedging, whether out of the bureaucratic impulse or other purposes, I couldn’t tell you.
