The speculation this week, at Slate and Sullivan and Reynolds, is that Kerry is the frontrunner simply because Democratic voters think he can win. “I’m voting for him because I think other people will vote for him.”
What happens to his support if today’s allegations prove even slightly true? A Dean-like implosion? Or do people shrug it off, since we’ve been through all this before already?
The latter seems less likely, since “intern fatigue” could be a very real issue for voters in the general election, and Democratic primary voters.
