John Kerry is speaking some sense.
His proposal for how to get international help in Iraq is to turn over some of the governing authority to the UN, along with the humanitarian mission, but leave security in American/Coalition hands.
The first part worries me — the UN is too corrupt to be allowed much political authority in a place with as much oil as Iraq.
The second part is absolutely sensible, and he made his case with civility.
