More midterm election poll data, this time from AP.

Normally, this close to an election, even a midterm, I’d be boldly predicting how many seats would go which way, and why. With a focus on some interesting invidual races.

And that’s just what I do to my friends. Readers actually like this stuff.

But not this year. Nationally, it’s a dead heat — and there are too few competitive seats to keep things interesting. Even the best pro I know of says the Senate could see a two-seat gain for Republicans. Or Democrats. Or stay exactly the same.

Larry Sabato thinks the Republicans have the edge in keeping the House — but a lot can happen in a short time during a war. Who knows?
