Well, we weren’t real hot on leaving two entire heavy Army corps in Germany for 50 years, but it got the job done, didn’t it?

Besides, we won’t have to stay in Iraq for 30 years. Oh, somebody might have to — anyone, say, looking for a cut of the oil revenues. Someone we can trust. Someone who knows the territory. Someone with some real experience in giving Arab lands some decent governance.
Someone like Turkey?
