Hawks Rejoice?

Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz’s Washington profile seems to rise and fall with the Administration’s hawkishness.

As Bush fiddled while Iraq burned these last couple of months, Wolfowitz wasn’t much seen. But now he’s turning up everywhere, including a frontpage puff piece about Pentagon repairs in today’s Washington Post.

All this while Colin Powell is busy trying to keep a lid on South Asia.
