On Thursday morning, Sen. John Kennedy came up with quite a creative description for the omnibus spending bill recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives.

“I don’t even know what’s in the thing. Okay? This is an embarrassment. I said it yesterday, I meant it,” Kennedy said. “This is a Great Dane-sized whiz down the leg of every taxpayer in this country. No thought whatsoever to adding over a trillion dollars in debt.”

The House passed the $1.3 trillion spending bill Thursday afternoon. The bill would avert a government shutdown, increase military funding, fund a mere 33 miles of Trump’s border wall, and continue funding the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood.

As the House constructed the funding measure, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) declared that this is a “rotten, terrible, no good way to run your government.”

The proposal could go to a vote in the Senate by the end of the day or on Friday. White House budget director Mick Mulvaney told reporters that President Trump would sign the bill.

In addition to his creative description for the bill, Sen. Kennedy also made the blunt statement, “It sucks.” When asked if he would vote for it, the senator said, “I’ll vote against it twice if they will let me.”
