AG Lynch: 'Compassion' and 'Love' Best Weapons Against Terrorism

What’s the best response to terrorism?

Killing them is certainly the first option, one would think, followed closely by capturing them and putting them in jail for the rest of their lives. And just to show you I can think outside the box, how about shutting down every single jihad internet page on the web that assists in radicalizing otherwise peaceful people?

But the attorney general of the United States, heading the department that’s our first line of defense against terrorism committed on American soil, disagrees. Loretta Lynch — God bless her hippie heart — believes that our most powerful weapons against terrorism are “compassion” and “love.”

Washington Free Beacon:

Lynch said the Department of Justice stood in solidarity with the LGBT community “in the light” following a Muslim terrorist’s massacre of 49 people at a gay nightclub last week.

“We stand with you to say that the good in this world far outweighs the evil, that our common humanity transcends our differences, and that our most effective response to terror and to hatred is compassion, it’s unity, and it’s love,” Lynch said. “We stand with you today as we grieve together, and long after the cameras are gone, we will continue to stand with you as we grow together in commitment, in solidarity, and in equality.”

Lynch has been in the news for defending the administration’s decision to redact transcripts between law enforcement and the terrorist, Omar Mateen, during his attack.

Mateen pledged allegiance to the Islamic State as he carried out his rampage. Lynch announced Sunday that his references to Islamic terrorism would be redacted in transcripts of his conversations with law enforcement during the killings, but the administration wilted under mounting public criticism and published his conversations in full.

I really hope she didn’t write that bit of treacle herself and that she can fire some staff PR flunky for being incredibly stupid.

But given what we’ve heard out of this administration previously, it’s very possible she not only wrote it, but actually believes it.

This is the administration whose State Department spokesperson once claimed that the key to battling terrorism is creating jobs. This is an administration that thinks Christian terrorism is as dangerous as Islamic terrorism.

And, of course, the term “Islamic terrorism” sticks in their throat. All of this can be explained by a commitment from the administration to using love and compassion to do battle with the head loppers from ISIS.

I wonder who wins that war.

Meanwhile, our clueless AG keeps channeling Beatles songs. While “All We Need Is Love” might be appropriate for weddings and such, I think “The Fool on the Hill” is more appropriate for Lynch and her post-hippie clique of goofy doofuses who don’t understand the basic facts about who and what we’re fighting.
