Once upon a time, the loser of an election might classify those who voted for the other candidate as misguided, but that was about it. It’s always graceless to be a sore loser, and especially frowned upon to blast the taxpaying electorate simply because you didn’t win.
However, Hillary Clinton has lashed out at anyone and everyone since she came out of her self-enforced seclusion last year. And she stepped up the antics during her trip to India this week.
“We do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton argued. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”
White women in America lack the agency to make political determinations on their own? They succumb to pressure from the men in their lives?
How condescending can one person get?
A lot more. She also opined on Trump’s message: “You know, you didn’t like black people getting rights, you don’t like women, you know, getting jobs. You don’t want, you know, to see that Indian American succeeding more than you are — whatever your problem is, I’m going to solve it.”
Which, of course, was never uttered by anyone on the Trump team. Trump repeatedly championed bringing jobs to everybody — and did: there has never been a better time to be a black or Hispanic American looking for work than during the Trump administration.

After all the brutal polling about how unlikable she is, all of the analysis about how poor her campaign strategy was, all of the reporting about her party’s disastrous disinterest in competing for working-class white votes in the belief that the Obama coalition was insuperable and unbreakable, her theory for why she lost still boils down to one word: Deplorables.
There are too damned many backwards deplorables from places that aren’t “optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.” That’ll come as news to Texans, Georgians, and North Carolinians (never mind Floridians and Pennsylvanians), to name just three red, diverse, dynamic states that went for Trump two years ago.
What Clinton fails to understand is that this very claim — that you either have to vote Democrat or you’re a vile, disgusting racist — is false, offensive, and exactly why she lost. It has pissed off Americans to the point that they wanted nothing to do with her party. It hurt candidates up and down the ballot in 2016.
Clinton’s insistence on demonizing everyone who didn’t vote for her is, unfortunately, not surprising. Lies, intimidation, and scandal have fueled her entire career. Now she epitomizes the phrase “sore loser,” and is losing more of her remaining faithful everyday.
