Obama to Make Another Appearance on The Colbert Report

Comedy Central has announced that President Obama will appear on the fake news show The Colbert Report next week. The episode will air on December 18 and cover Colbert’s one day visit to Washington D.C. and George Washington University.

Colbert is down to the final two weeks of his show and then he will take over CBS’ Late Show from David Letterman.

Colbert’s Washington visit has the long-winded title of “Stephen Colbert Presents: Mr. Colbert Goes to Washington D.C. Ya Later, Legislator: Partisan is Such Sweet Sorrow: A Colbert Victory Lap, ‘014.”

“The highlight is that I lined up one of my favorite ’90s alternative bands, the Presidents of the United States of America, to play their hit song, ‘Peaches,’” Colbert continued. “Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up, and I did not book the band. I booked the actual president of the United States of America. Barack Obama is going to be my guest, oh yeah!”

“Nation, I cannot overstate how huge this is,” Colbert deadpanned. “The size of the hugeness? Large. I’m so honored to be sitting down with the man who sat down with Bill O’Reilly.”

Topics that will almost certainly not be discussed on the show are: IRS abuse of power, what the hell happened in Benghazi, or Jonathan Gruber and how stupid the American people are.

Obama has appeared two other times on the left-leaning fake news show but this will be his first sit down visit with Colbert.
