Obama: 'I can do whatever I want.'

President Obama took French President Hollande to visit Monticello on Monday. This happened.

At 4:45 POTUS and president Hollande walked out from a portico and strolled in Front of your pool with Leslie Bowman, president of the Monticello Foundation. Looking at a terrace she said that Jefferson loved to admire the landscape from there. POTUS said that he’d like to take a look and seemed delighted to “break the protocol”.

“That’s the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want” he quipped, walking to the terrace with his guest and Ms. Bowman.

I heard about this Monday and was inclined to give Obama a pass on this one even though Democrats would not have given Bush a pass had he said anything similar. Perhaps Obama was just having fun in front of a foreign leader. Then Obama’s administration threw out the 27th unilateral delay in Obamacare, the partisan-passed healthcare law that Obama himself has repeatedly described as “settled law” when anyone other than a Democrat criticizes it or suggests changes to it.
