Cardinals Choose First Latin American Pope

The College of Cardinals have announced that Cardinal Jorge Maria Bergoglio has succeeded Benedict XVI as the new pope. Bergoglio is 76 years old, and has been a cardinal for 16 years. He is the first Latin American pope. He has chosen the name Pope Francis.
