Endorsements No One Wants

Jimmy Carter likes him some o’ dat Mitt Romney.

“I’m not taking a position, but I would be very pleased to see him win the Republican nomination,” Carter told the MSNBC host, according to advance interview excerpts.

Carter also said he was grateful to another Republican candidate, Michele Bachmann, for her volunteer work on his own presidential campaign.”I appreciate that she helped me out,” he said.

Carter previously praised Jon Huntsman as “very attractive.” GOP voters have not agreed.

And Ron Paul (RON PAUL) has picked up the not very coveted Copacabana endorsement.

Grammy award-winning musician Barry Manilow told The Daily Caller that he agrees with “just about everything” 2012 Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul says, calling him a “solid” contender for the highest office in the land.

“I like him. I like what he says, I do. I like what he says. I think he’s solid,” said Manilow, who confirmed to TheDC in an interview at the Capitol on Thursday that he contributed to Paul’s last campaign for president.

“I agree with just about everything he says. What can I tell you?” Manilow added.

Well, here’s what I can tell you. Last time we heard from Barry Manilow on the subject of politics, he was running away from Elisabeth Hasselbeck. He seems to be a Truther.
