Argentina offers to drop investigation of Iranian-backed bombings to thaw relations

Story:

The Perfil weekly newspaper released an investigative report that charges Foreign Minister Hector Timerman with conducted negotiations with Iranian officials. He is also reportedly scheduled to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The government of Iran was suspected of being involvement in the 1992 bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires that killed 29 people and the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center which killed 85 people.
