Virginia Rep. Moran projecting his racism on others?

Virginia Representative Jim Moran claims the Democrats lost in November because we “don’t want to be governed by an African-American.”

In other words, the “racists” who elected Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Florida Representative Allen West don’t like our president because his skin tone is too dark. “Racists” in New Mexico elected governor Susana Martinez. “Racists” in South Carolina elected Representative Tim Scott.

Hilary Shelton, director to the NAACP’s Washington bureau, noted that “both West and Scott were elected in primarily white districts.” You know, those “racists,” Mr. Moran?

What’s also interesting is that West and Scott were both endorsed by the National Rifle Association. Which brings us to the main point.

Rep. Moran is endorsed by the Brady Campaign. A recent article noted how American gun control is the history of racist oppression. It remains true today: states with the most gun control have higher homicide rates for Americans of African and Hispanic descent. Curiously, states with the most gun control have lower homicide rates for Whites.

Now, I’m not implying that Moran is a racist, but he supports gun control policies which protect people that look like him, while those same policies kill more people who don’t look like him. And he screams about racism when he hasn’t any credible evidence, typical of those who know that the best defense is a good offense.

Just sayin…
