Gosh, I Wonder Who Has The New York Times Worried About Nuclear War Again

Everything old is new again, which is why some of the denizens of the Coastal Media Bubble™ are finding themselves oh so worried about nuclear war.

While most people were caught up in news about the Supreme Court and Trump on Monday morning, I began my work week doing what I always do: reading the Opinion sections of The New York Times and The Washington Post so that nice people like you don't have to.

Standing out among the usual Trump tantrum fare this week was an interactive launch to a series in the Times titled "On the Brink," which features a big font against what I assume is supposed to be a scary and disturbing background. It is subtitled "A Series About the Threat of Nuclear Weapons in an Unstable World."

It's true, the world is unstable. That may be one of the only things besides sports scores that the Times will get right this year. Since it is an election year, it's probably not a bad bet to say that they won't get near the truth again.

I knew what I would find, but I read the introduction and the first essay in the series anyway. Little time was wasted before getting to the part about how scary it'll be if Donald Trump gets back into power. Predictably, no effort is wasted pondering what role Joe Biden has played, is playing, and will play as long as he's in office, contributing to the instability of the world.

Some Democrats are now willing to openly discuss their misgivings about Biden's age, but their problems with him tend to end there. Most of the havoc that Biden and his puppet masters have wrought is conveniently blamed on other things — usually Republicans — and is rather easy to debunk. Any problems with the economy are rooted in COVID. The southern border that Biden started blowing wide open on his first day in office in 2021 is a problem because the Republicans wouldn't sign onto a horrid "bipartisan" ruse of a bill three years later.

And, golly, why ever are the bad guys in the world running amok?

The world is unstable because the current American president is unstable as well as weak. Worse yet, his brain is being run by commies who are eager for the destruction of the United States as we know it.

The reality is that, despite all of the Dems' weeping and gnashing of teeth about Trump being buddies with Putin, the latter wasn't running roughshod over Ukraine when the former was the chief executive of the United States of America. Oh, the frightening, dangerous Trump also negotiated historic peace agreements in the Middle East. Biden and his sidekick Princess Cackles are running around openly feeling sorry for the terrorists who started the war that's going on there now.

You know, the one that wasn't happening when the other guy was POTUS.

Biden apologists face a gauntlet of inconvenient facts every day, and the fact that the world went to crap after Joe Biden was elected is the biggest one for them to pretend they don't notice.

They notice it, though, even if they don't realize it.

That's why they're worried about nuclear war.
