Here It Is for Those Who Don't Believe People Can Be...

…so credulous. The latest “Coast to Coast” Show summary on 2012. Read it and weep.
The man who first introduced the date December 21, 2012 into mass consciousness, Jose Arguelles discussed how he uncovered the Mayan codes, including the Harmonic Convergence (1987), and the need to return to natural time. He was joined by Stephanie South, whose biography of Arguelles has just been published.

Arguelles believes that a solar flare will deliver a knock out punch to modern civilization in 2012. Satellites, the power grid, and communications will all go down, creating an irrevocable event, he said. The positive aspect of this is that we’ll be placed back in “natural time” and the biosphere can clean itself of effects from the industrial/mechanized system, he noted.

“The early Mayans did have ET-type contacts from very advanced beings, “telepathic transmissions through different dimensions where the fractal properties of a particular form remain constant through the dimensions, so they get reconstructed in the dimension where they’re being targeted,” he explained.

“Arguelles is an advocate for the 13 moon-28 day calendar, which was one of the systems the Mayans used. Living in this natural cycle, as opposed to our irregular calendar, can bring about a harmonious shift in consciousness, he said. A person will become more spiritual, with new perceptions coming into their mind with the 28 day calendar, South added. After 2012, he sees humanity synchronizing with the cosmic civilization, and the beginning of a whole new evolutionary cycle.”

Right, sure. How exacty did that “Harmonic Convergence” work out? Anyone but nutballs remember it? Yet people take “prophets” like this seriously.

Don’t you love the pseudo science he endows “E.T. type contacts” with: the whole “fractal properties”/”telepathic transmission” idiocy.

Here’s his website and book so you’ll see I’m not making it up.
The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology

Why am I so fascinated with unmitigated full bloom looniness? Shouldn’t we just laugh it off? Unfortunately nonsense like this has led to millions of dead from religious wars over just such clashing idiocies. I think it reminds us that this kind of baseless belief is at the heart of all religions and that man has suffered immeasurably since the beginning of civilization from it and that, it’s looking more likely that it will cause the death of enlightment civilization, just a brief candle in the vast darkness of ignorance.

It’s tragic and not to take it seriously in whatever its latest manifestation is a mistake. Because-check it out on Google–the 2012 cult gains more and more brainless adherents every day.

As the time grows nearer I intend to focus even more atttention on the cumulative stupidity of this one and LMAO when its followers realize what fools they are on December 22, 2012 and have to come up with some lame excuse for their folly.
