… I am going to boycott CBS News, because I almost never watch it anyway. I used to enjoy “60 Minutes” but it’s getting more than a little long in the tooth. And in the case of Andy Rooney, my doctor told me that too much Ambien was dangerous.

But if Rather and his colleagues don’t apologize fully and soon, I imagine a mass movement to boycott CBS News (not their sponsors – it’s not their fault) for promulgating forgeries during a presidential campaign would be forthcoming. Indeed, I imagine it’s beginning to happen already. Even The New York Times is only offering tepid support. Pretty soon all they’ll have left is Tom Harkin.
