Last November, Donald Trump won both the electoral and the popular vote, and the Republicans won majorities in both houses of Congress. The president’s America-First perspective clearly has broad and significant support among Americans, as the 2020 (whatever you think of it) and 2016 elections demonstrate as well. Yet if you turn on the major networks, you’d get the impression that Trump was a universally hated interloper whom nefarious forces had imposed upon the American people and that decent folk everywhere were doing their best to resist. That’s what ABC, CBS, and NBC “journalists” think, and they’re doing their level best to make sure you think it, too.
The Media Research Center’s MRC NewsBusters reported Monday that establishment media “news” coverage is even more hostile to President Trump than it was during his first term: “Just 100 days into President Donald Trump’s second term, the broadcast evening news landscape is even more lopsided than it was eight years ago, when Trump was besieged with relentlessly hostile coverage.” How lopsided? How about nearly completely negative toward Trump? “So far this year, the new Trump administration has faced a withering 92% negative coverage from ABC, CBS and NBC.”
And while millions have awakened by now to the fact that the establishment media is not an actual source, but simply the press agency for the Democrat party, many are clearly still not aware of this: the “flagship news programs” of the three venerable alphabet networks “averaged more than 19.3 million viewers during the first quarter of 2025, making them the most widely-watched news programs in the country.”
The same networks loved Old Joe Biden, of course. The Media Research Center says that they gave him 59% positive coverage during his first hundred days of pretending to be president back in 2021, and that seems unusually low. It seems likely that even if this figure is accurate and the networks actually dared to criticize the superannuated corruptocrat in 41% of its coverage, it was over his choice of ice cream flavor or some such, and not in connection with any significant Biden policy.
However much ABC, NBC and CBS may have loved Biden, they’ve been on a mission since Jan. 20, 2025 to discredit the core policies of the new Trump administration, and to make sure that as few Americans support them as possible: “the networks’ spin on Trump’s tariffs faced 93% negative coverage, while the DOGE cutbacks to government were greeted by 97% negative spin. Even on immigration, the issue where the public gives the President his highest ratings, the networks’ spin was 93% negative.” The networks even worked to cover up evidence of the success of Trump’s efforts to secure the border: “Out of nearly four hours (233 minutes) of evening news airtime devoted to immigration, these newscasts spent just 3.5 minutes letting viewers know just how much Trump has reduced border crossings.”
Some members of Trump’s administration fared as badly, or even worse, than their boss: “Besides Trump himself, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. faced 89% negative press, DOGE’s Elon Musk was hit with 96% negative coverage, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth received a unanimous 100% bad press from the networks.” Yes, 100%. If anything was a sterling endorsement of the correctness of Hegseth’s policies, it’s that.
Many, if not most, Americans still believe that the networks just give them the facts. They have no idea how relentlessly and skillfully they’re being propagandized. Yet this sort of thing has been going on for decades. It didn’t begin in 2004, but that year brought us one of the most egregious examples ever of the media’s dishonesty, and its twisting of the facts in hopes of getting Democrats elected. Dan Rather, the anchor of CBS Evening News and a respected “journalist” with a lengthy resume, ran with a story about 1973 memos that apparently showed that President George W. Bush, who was running for re-election, had shirked his duties as a member of the Texas Air National Guard and that his commanding officer had been pressured to give him a better evaluation than he deserved.

Rather insisted the memos were authentic, but it quickly came to light that the memos had been typed on a modern-day computer, not an early-1970s-era typewriter. Finally, under heavy pressure, CBS and Rather admitted that the documents in question and their claims regarding Bush (which, of course, could have given the election to Democrat candidate John Kerry) could not be authenticated. Faced with clear evidence that Rather was so avid to bring Bush down that he didn’t take basic and necessary precautions to ensure that the memos were authentic, CBS declined to renew Rather’s contract. For Rather, the anti-Bush memos had been too good to check. Electing Kerry was more important than telling the truth.
But all that was child’s play compared to what goes on now. Now the media is a full-on, 24/7 propaganda arm for the hard left. So why do 19.3 million people still watch ABC, NBC, and CBS? Free your minds, patriots! Turn off the network “news”!
