David Plouffe, the former Obama campaign chief, is apparently a world-class psychiatrist. He diagnosed Donald Trump without even examining him, declaring him a “psychopath” and saying that “he meets the clinical definition.”

RealClear Politics:

Meet The Press’ host Chuck Todd interviews Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign manager David Plouffe about Donald Trump. “I think the assessment was that Donald Trump would try to do some things to appeal to the middle of the electorate,” Plouffe says. “We bascially have a psychopath running for president. I mean, he meets the clinical definition.”

“You really think?” asks ‘Meet The Press’ host Chuck Todd. “Diagnosing people on-air? I assume you don’t have a degree in psychology? Is that fair? We’re jumping to conclusions here, I think that is what gets voters so frustrated.”

Plouffe lists: “Grandiose notion of self-worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and self-worth. I think he does. Right, I don’t have a degree in psychology.”

How can Trump possess “grandiose self-worth” while at the same time exhibiting a “lack…of self-worth”?

I don’t know. I’m not a psychiatrist.
