General McChrystal Would've Advised Trump Against His 'Fire and Fury' Comments

Stanley McChrystal, the four-star general who was once in charge of our efforts in Afghanistan, said he would have advised against President Trump making the “fire and fury” comments about North Korea. McChrystal said that he would have military options on the table and the capability to make fire and fury rain down on the Kim Jong Un regime should they become even more hostile, but that “we should be prepared to use it, but I don’t think we have to talk about it a lot.” He also said, on Fox News Radio this morning, that he doesn’t actually think that language like this “is particularly going to intimidate them.” Trump claims that he spends a lot of time listening to his generals’ advice on foreign concerns, so we wonder if he’ll listen to this super-accomplished general now.
