Sean Spicer, the new White House press secretary, wasn’t going to take the media’s “alternative facts” criticisms lying down. He lashed out at ABC’s Jonathan Karl, and pointed out that the media from time to time does get things wrong (if you can imagine!). Spicer stuck by his earlier statement that this was the most watched presidential inauguration in history, and only corrected his original metro transit statistics. Spicer did promise to the pressroom that he would never knowingly spread falsehoods. Don’t you wish the media would make that same promise?
