RGA Statement on President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union Address
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Republican Governors Association (RGA) Chair Governor Greg Gianforte released the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union Address:
“Every day, President Trump is delivering on his promises and reversing the disastrous effects of Biden-era policies. By bringing down costs, unleashing the economy, and securing the border, he’s made it clear that our nation’s best days are still to come.
“President Trump isn’t just leading at the federal level, he’s empowering states and Republican governors to help make life more affordable for all Americans. He’s prevented the largest income tax hike in American history, lowered the costs of prescription drugs with Trump Rx, and is bringing the American dream into greater reach.
“Republican governors look forward to working alongside President Trump to keep delivering for the American people, who were ignored for far too long by the Biden Administration. With a partner like President Trump back in The White House, we’ll continue to work as a team to help make America’s future even brighter.”

RNC Statement on President Trump’s State of the Union Address | |
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement after President Trump delivered his State of the Union address: “President Trump has delivered more results for the American people in one year than any President in history,” said Chairman Gruters. “He has driven down inflation, lowered drug prices, unleashed American energy, secured the border, restored law and order, and reestablished America as a global superpower. While Democrats chose tantrums, stunts, and shameless political games, President Trump chose action — delivering historic tax cuts, Trump Accounts, a safer America, and real relief for working families. His America First agenda is working and tonight made it clear that the best days for our country are still ahead.” |

Thank you to all of our stalwarts for hanging out tonight, especially for making the PJ Media comments section the busiest of all the Townhall Media livechats!
Campaign ad material.
BREAKING: The NRCC (campaign arm for House Republicans) tells @FoxNews the visual of Democrats remaining seated & silent when President Trump asked Congress to stand for protecting Americans over illegal aliens was “a beautiful gift” & they will cut those images into campaign…

The list of accomplishments; A damn good listing and well presented, but how much of it will actually be reported?
When all is said & done, the most memorable moment -- the audience's biggest takeaway -- will be the Dems refusing to stand for American citizens. (And generally refusing to stand at all.)
Quite literally, standing for nothing!
That visual will linger.
So, how many people are going to be awake when Spanberger's speech starts?
And how many when it ends?
I felt the same way at one point.
My God I will miss him so much ❤️

And that's only the first year!
I guess it's a good thing Joe Biden didn't have many accomplishments. No way he could have stayed upright this long to share them. And if it had been Kamala, we would have been done at 9:15.
Senator John Kennedy to Trump, "I think you should take the rest of the day off."
one hour 47 min
Some good observations here.
Trumps entire speech was in flow state. Felt like a few minutes at most. American excellence was on display. Patriotism. Grief. And hatred. The hate of the Democrats.

It ends with soaring rhetoric that follows a Medal of Honor ceremony. How else could anything rightly end justly end?
It is, no joke, 3 hours past my bedtime. Thank goodness.
Great speech, but there's only so much coffee can do.
Two hours, right on the money — and better spent than most might have thought.
His poll numbers will bump up this week. He's larger than life and nights like this only make him "larger."
Agree with Kruiser. This was a "honey of a speech" as my old professor would say.
OK...unlike a lot of Trump's longer speeches, this one didn't have that meandering bridge portion that we've seen so often. This hit every right note that the was to hit.
