Joe Biden: 'I Would Like to See a Woman Elected'

Vice President Joe Biden gave an interview to Mic published on Monday.

In the interview, Biden seemed to be offering an endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

“This country’s ready for a woman, there’s no problem, we’re going to be able to elect a woman in this country. … I would like to see a woman elected,” Biden said.

An aide quickly interrupted the gaffe-prone veep. “That’s it,” an aide quickly interrupted before the vice president could continue on in what might be construed as an endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

“No, no, no, that’s alright, no, I’d like to see …” Biden responded.

“I’m not getting into that,” he said. “The president and I are not going to endorse because we both when we ran said let the party decide. But gosh, almighty, they’re both qualified. Hillary’s overwhelmingly qualified to be president.”
