The Christmas season is a magical time for family and friends to give thanks for the blessings we have received throughout the year. Overeating and having to deal with nauseating and poorly-executed jokes from your least favorite uncle may be on the list of festivities as well.
One thing is for sure: we look forward to watching our favorite holiday classics. Here are our picks of the top ten best Christmas movies, along with some memorable quotes.
10. “The Family Man”
This modern day take on “It’s a Wonderful Life” reminds us that sometimes there are second chances in life and at love. Plus it has Nicholas Cage in it! “I choose us.”
9. “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
Charlie Brown and the gang search for what “Christmas is all about.” We look forward to this treasure every single year. Fabulous soundtrack, too!
8. “Miracle on 34th Street”
This movie solidifies the miracle of Christmas and definitely verifies that Santa Clause is, in fact, real. “Christmas isn’t just a day, it’s a frame of mind.”
7. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
Dr. Seuss stories are beloved by children and adults all over the world. The mean, green Grinch won our hearts over when we all learned, “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store.”
6. “A Christmas Story”
No list would be complete without Ralphie and the gang! We all wanted that special gift from Santa when we were kids, and around this time of year we just can’t stop saying, “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid.” Classic!

5. “Elf”
Buddy the Elf is charming and sweet — so sweet he gives us a toothache! His optimism and charm are infectious because “I just like to smile…smiling’s my favorite!”
4. “Home Alone”
This movie is a staple on the boob tube every holiday season — surely you can catch it about 100 times on TBS. Just wait until your kids start saying to the pizza boy, “Keep the change, ya filthy animal!”
3. “A Christmas Carol”
A story of a bitter heart turned forgiving. Who doesn’t love this Charles Dickens classic? And who can resist quoting Tiny Tim at the dinner table, “God bless us every one!”
2. “It’s a Wonderful Life”
This is a classic movie that warms the heart and sends the message that every soul is worthy. Everytime I hear a bell, I can’t help but think of little Zuzu saying, “Look Daddy! Teacher says every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” A beautiful story that brings on the feels!
1. “Christmas Vacation”
All Clark Griswold wants is a fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. We couldn’t agree more! All of Clark’s colossal failures keep us in stitches. We especially love dear cousin Eddie when he yells, “Sh*tter was full!”
