We can all breathe a sigh of relief:

CBS News:

Cyrus called it “a blessing and a curse” that women give new life. “We’re expected to keep the planet populated. And when that isn’t a part of our plan or our purpose, there is so much judgment and anger that they try to make and change laws to force it upon you—even if you become pregnant in a violent situation,” Cyrus said, alluding to recently-passed state abortion restrictions.

“If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless b***ch who’s not capable of love,” Cyrus continued. The reason she personally doesn’t want children comes back to Mother Nature.

Cyrus said we’ve been treating earth the same way we’ve been treating women — badly. “We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce.”

“We’re getting handed a piece-of-s**t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child.

Forgoing parenthood in the name of saving the planet is all the rage among the climate change lunatic fringe. A book published in 2018 titled Save Earth…Don’t Give Birth attempts to revive the nonsensical overpopulation fear-mongering from the 1970s and ’80s.

The logic behind saving the planet for people who won’t be here is a little off. That is until you run into people like those behind the “Voluntary Human Extinction Movement,” who want us all gone for the good of Mother Earth.

If crazy people who believe in pseudo-science hype want to avoid breeding that’s probably an overall positive not just for Earth, but for sane people as well.

The problem with fervently radical leftist loons, however, is that they eventually seek ways to legalize and enforce their lunacy. One doesn’t need a big imagination to envision a near future where the people who now scream about “reproductive rights” are in power and dictating to the hoi polloi how many children they’re allowed to have.

Then again, if someone in Congress sponsored legislation to prevent procreation by former Disney stars who desperately spend the rest of their careers trying to prove how edgy and “non-Disney” they are, I might just get behind that.
