Via The Hill:
Top Donald Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani said the ongoing internal struggle within the Republican Party over Trump’s offensive remarks about women is a battle between establishment politicians and outsiders.
“This is basically the insiders versus the outsiders,” he told CNN as he was leaving Trump Tower Saturday.
CNN’s Manu Raju provided what was either inference or context when he tweeted this:
Giuliani, leaving Trump Tower, signals Trump is ready to wage war against his party. “This is basically the insiders versus the outsiders.”

This was an “insiders versus outsiders” war all through the primaries though, wasn’t it? All that’s been going on since the convention is an extremely uneasy ceasefire and delicate alliance in order to focus energy on defeating a third enemy.
With the debate looming tomorrow night, and an ever-growing list of elected Republicans saying they won’t vote for Trump, he’s going to need a grand reset strategy. In this most improbable of election seasons, I wouldn’t dismiss this tactic at all.
It just adds to the 2016 lunacy seeing Giuliani as a cheerleader for the outsiders in a GOP battle. Sure, he may be one in this election, but he was a big player in the system that brought the party to this hyper-dysfunctional state.
Unfortunately, debate in this cycle is so charged with emotion that facts are almost always overlooked and the Republican Party will probably learn absolutely nothing from any of this.
