Anti-Semitic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) added to her bizarre string of outrageous comments when she took off after Democratic Party icon, former President Barack Obama.

Omar gave an interview to Politico’s Tim Alberta and ripped the former president for being not much better than Trump.

New York Post:

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar ripped former President Barack Obama in an interview published Friday, belittling his “pretty face” and saying his agenda of hope and change was an illusion.

She cited the “caging of kids” at the Mexican border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch — and argued that he wasn’t much different from President Trump

“We can’t be only upset with Trump,” the freshman firebrand told Politico Magazine.

“His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was,” Omar said.

“And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.”

I wonder if other Democrats will have her back on this after they covered for her nauseating anti-Semitic “dual loyalty” comments?

Perhaps realizing that dissing a party icon will not win her friends or influence Democrats, Omar tried to backtrack a little — except she released an audio of the interview in question which proved she said what she said, despite trying to blame the reporter for distorting her words.

Fox News:

Following the article’s publication, Omar went on offense on Twitter and accused the outlet’s reporter, Tim Alberta, of distorting her words and insisted that she is, in fact, a fan of Obama.

“Exhibit A of how reporters distort words. I’m an Obama fan! I was saying how Trump is different from Obama, and why we should focus on policy not politics. This is why I always tape my interviews,” she tweeted, attaching an audio recording of the interview.

Omar deleted that particular tweet, realizing how idiotic she looked releasing a tape of the interview that confirmed every rancid word she uttered about Obama.

Alberta got the satisfaction of pointing out Omar’s stupidity:

Omar’s problem is the same one experienced by many political personalities who gain notoriety by saying outrageous things. Every time someone sticks a microphone in front of her face, she has to say something a little bit more outrageous than she said yesterday, or she risks becoming boring. Eventually, she runs into difficulties because how can she top going over the top?

Omar went after Obama out of a desire to get attention. It backfired horribly. As with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — another Democrat suffering from diarrhea of the mouth — older and wiser party members might want to stage an intervention before either one of those loons says something they can’t walk back.
